That 1st and Mancini were likely the keys to that trade.

(well that and dumping that nutter JT)
Doc, all I’m saying is, a top two line quality centre should’ve been the target for what to get in return, especially with how our only remaining top two line centre - Petey, was playing at the time of the trade, which was pretty sad to say the least. I get the initial trade but flipping the first for a defenceman? C’man!

Maybe one wasn't available? Miller tied their hands only agreeing to go to one team. Go out and get some fresh air. You are an angry man.

Chef is alright, I’m watching reruns of King Jung Loon the Dictator’s birthday celebration from yesterday that cost the American taxpayer a cool $45 million. He put it on in his honour, but hardly a soul showed up cause they were all attending No King protests throughout the nation, LMAO!!! King TACO is killing me right now, lol.

Demko gets extended. Silovs gets traded.

Canucks trade for Rossi.

Garland gets traded.

Suter gets re-signed

Canucks go hard after Ehlers.
Interesting, and not too far off what I'm guessing:

1) Petey gets traded - I still think much of what we're hearing now is posturing and they want to trade him. Granted when I was told that it was a number of weeks back so maybe it's changed, but based on what I heard and who said it I have to believe they are still trying.

2) Demko stays, extended or not. Silovs traded as part of a package for another player.

3) Also think they trade for Rossi, likely with the 15th plus another young player. Guerin is posturing right now but wants to trade Rossi just as much as Rossi wants out of there.

4) Garland gets re-signed. I think they should trade him but unless they are blown away I can't see it happening.

5) Suter goes to market and signs with another team for too much money.

6) Canucks make a big trade, most likely with Buffalo. Both teams are eerily quiet right now and both need some big changes.

7) Canucks trade for one of Rackell or Rust from the Pens.

And you got nothing...
They have over 12 million in cap space. There are pieces to move to gain more space or to change the complexion of the team. There's some kids in Abby that can help. I see this team with a lot more organizational talent and depth than the Covid year.
Remove $5 million from that $12 million. $7 million left and we still don’t have a 2C

That was the number in the thread about the Panthers.

As an aside…..

Did anyone have Evander Kane becoming a Canuck on their list of summer predictions?

So Doyle was right

The Coil brass must be giving each other high fives with the freed up $5 million for next season. We are so nice in Vancouver. Curious if they are trying to pawn Arvidsson off on us now. “Let’s see if we can dupe those idiots again!!”
