I think Salt Lake is getting a loaded young team with a shitload of cap space and more good prospects on the way. Has the league addressed a possible realignment? Josh Doan is going to be a good player. Called that a few years ago. Six 20 goal scorers and Dylan Guenther with 18 in 45 games. Good, young, mobile defense and Ingram looks to be a competent goalie.
I don't know if it is quite as good as Ottawa moving to Colorado, buy yeah. They are going to be "hump your Mormon cousin" good.

They are definitely looking solid future-wise. But can they put it all together? WHL player of their year Geekie is on his way as well 1st rd picks forward But and D-man Simashev. I’ve been quite impressed with both Cooley and Guenther. Hayton has had an injury plagued year but he was turning the corner in his game. Also very impressed with Maccelli and Durzi. I imagine with the depth at forward the Yotes have they will be drafting a D-man. The top 10 is packed with defencemen, although they did draft Simashev 6th overall in 2023. Will they add another D with the 6th OA pre-lottery ranked pick? I think with Keller, Cooley, Hayton, Guenther, But, Geekie, Maccelli etc their Forward group looks pretty solid.

Kraken fire Haksol. No idea why. Did management expect better after selling the roster? Did expect Vegas performance from their roster?
Do they not think teams learned from the Vegas expansion?

It was reported during the Kraken's exit meetings, a number of players stated they wouldn't return to the team if he remained the coach.

When a coach has lost the room…
We’re a long ways from the old days of Iron Mike Keenan.
Still, I can’t imagine Francis runs a proletarian paradise in Seattle, so the input from the players must have been pretty damning if that was the case.

Hard to say what it was - but I bet if players were saying things like unprepared, or unsure of their roles. Even without meaning to, might have damned him - along with those disgruntled ones.

Yup. Too many failures to not think there's something rotten with their core.
