Burke is sort of iffy but his combined League office, and variety of GM positions ok. But I bet he lobbied hard for it.
Agree Topper, this has got to be one of the weakest draft classes ever inducted into the HOF.

Tkachuk is 35th all-time for goals - I think that's worthy.
Price is 24th in wins, 34th in shutouts - also worthy.
Rinne - 22nd in wins, 20th in shutouts - worthy

Curley? That's a tougher one to figure out...

Walt has 538g, 527a for 1065pts along with 2219(!)pm in 1201gp. I think his career is more than deserving. Maybe not what you deem a "first-ballot" HOFer, but long overdue.

Price is right for induction. Rinne is borderline for me.

You don't induct Curley without Larry and Moe. Bunch of stooges working in the committee trying to woke everyone up.

I think I am okay with Tkachuk in the broad sense.

Roenick in/soTkachuk....meh...similar enough.

Inducted before Henrik Zetterberg I'm not so sure about.

Price I'm on the fence.

Rinne I'm a hard no.

Let's face it...

HOF's are turning into halls of pretty good to above average these days.

And the token women…..FFS.

Should be insulted to be on the ballot because of gender.

So if you don't induct the goalie with the 22nd most all time wins, who do you induct?

I think I'm kinda leaning towards Leves' assessment of Rinne's career...

Who do you induct?

How about Kipprusoff? His regular season stats seem just as good if not better. I don't think anyone thinks Kipper is HOF worthy? (Ok, maybe BCE )

Pekka seems like a real vanilla choice. Nobody left to induct?

Get that rat bastard, Fleury in there. He actually deserves it. I don't care what you think of his personality or politics. He was a great midget hockey player... who got graped.

Cut this tiny dude some slack. He was a monster on the ice... before the coke.

@ Corn.

Not Roberto Luongo.

CuJo is 8th in wins...no Hall.

Chris Osgood 15th in wins and 2 Cups as a starter. 3 overall. No Hall.

Andy Moog is 20th and has 3 Cups (albeit as a backup) yet he did play important playoff games including Cup final series games. No Hall.

John Vanbriesbouck is 19th. No Hall.

Evgeny Nabokov. 16 career wins fewer than Pekka in 25th. No Hall.

Not saying those players aren't deserving either.

No idea how some players are selected over others.

The argument for Moog is stronger when you consider that during the regular season for those Cup wins he split the games almost 50/50 with Fuhr.....actually playing more games than Fuhr in 3 of the seasons.

If Rinne deserves the Hall, then so does Moog.

Is there room for the HOF in the rafters of Vancouver?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

I hate the Flames, but the Little Midget Rat Bastard was a great hockey player , and he deserves to be in the hhof.

And, where the fuck is Tiger? He deserves the hhof too.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

In my view, there’s no way Price or Rinne belong. I think Tkachuk is on the fence, too, but I think you have to get over the fence to get in the HOF.

As for Burke, I feel that all folks in the hall for what they did in management or league operations is political and a circle jerk. It’s like some third rate scholar who gets cited all the time in the field because of politics or personality and then those citations are used to argue the person is not a third rate scholar.

There’s a part of me that thinks the hof should be reserved for players, but I think I’d settle for a rule that allows suits to be inducted posthumously.
