One of the prettier songs (streets of heaven) of the year coming from Canada’s Doug Paisley’s new album just released, the chorus kills me. IMO Canada’s best singer songwriter since maybe Gordon Lightfoot.

Will Johnson, one of Chef’s faves, he moonlights as Jason Isbells drummer when Isbell is on the road. Here he steps in as front man for the Magnolia Electric Co whose singer/lead - Jason Molina died from alcoholism 15 years ago. This is a great version from an album Johnson and Molina made together. It rocks.

The hockey season has finally begun here in Sweden, and Björklöven has started off with two consecutive wins.

Another win imho is that they changed their entry music and now play this nice little ditty by a local band as they enter the ice:

Additional trivia: The Refused have reunited for a farewell tour (Refused Are Fucking Dead) this year. They already took care of North America and are now weaving their way through Europe. Their last three gigs will be in Umeå, December 19-21.
