I saw the Lindholm 7x7 rumour. Not sure if it’s true, but it’s only a little overpayment for his value and would be worth pursuing for that cost.

Lindholm @ 7
Zadorov @ 5

It’s still possible to keep (rondo if we get rid of Mikeheyev somehow.

Even if Lindholm averages 60-70 points a year, $7 mill is a great deal. He brings so much more than offence, and is an ideal #2 centre for the next 4-5 years. Getter done.

Zed has some leverage simply because of his unique acumen, but he’ll take less $$ if the term and trade protection are to his liking. He’s not on the level of upper echelon D-men that command all three term/money/NMC. He loves it here and has reportedly said he’d be willing to take a deal less than open market.

In my opinion the path forward is to retain Hronek but have him on the second paring and 2nd unit PP...which means a stay at home steady eddy right sider for Quinn is required.

Spread out the puck moving a little better

I agree on the spilt if they indeed re-up Hronek.

Not sure why they didn't try it more second half tbh....

I've been advocating for this for most of the regular season. It probably would've cost QH the Norris but the team would have been better suited to beating those filthy diving coilers

Iirc, they did. Hronek was not as effective without Hughes. Hughes also had a heavier load as it took away any sort of puck moving option on the RS.

Hence why I think Hronek is not worth his ask.....while he certainly helps QH play at a Norris-calibre level, he doesn't command the big paycheque on his own.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

I was a big fan of that acquisition but am not so enamoured with paying him top cheese after his underwhelming playoffs and second half of the season.

Sure some of it may be conditioning which can be improved upon but still...you run the risk of players like that chilling out on the off season training much like OEL appears to have done after his big money windfall in the desert.

I'd quietly look at what you might get back for him in a trade (and no...not fucking Neck-ass)

I agree with this, and the fancy stats back it up.

lol. It was either a typo, or I was trolling for Wids.

You pick the narrative, I’ll fill in the rest.

Apparently they are also expecting the cap to go up another 5% after next season, which should cover OEL’s buyout hit.
