It may have indirectly hurt us because it backed up the talks with our pending UFAs.

This is a good deal for the team. Took a while for him to figure this league out but kind of broke out this year and was great under the
pressure of the playoffs.

Moj reports Canucks and Coyotes agreed on the players and picks (there was more than one) but the hang up was the prospect. Coyotes insisted on Demko. Benning wasn't willing to offer Podkolzin, Hoglander, Rathbone or Demko. Deal is now dead.
Obviously Vancouver wasn't comfortable in their ability to re-sign Markstrom.

Reports now that Hurricanes are making a pitch for him. I am okay with letting him ago, as long as, he doesn't land in Edmonton or Calgary.

The Vancouver Canucks have signed UFA goalie Braden Holtby to a 2-year, $8.6M contract ($4.3M AAV).
Edit: better not have a NMC.
