I’m starting to see the light, society and immigration is flocking to metropolitan centres in droves and the infrastructure ain’t there to handle it m, burdening the already low quality workforce. The small town concept is dead, they are shutting down ER’s in small towns everywhere. The jaded population is growing - the homelessness grows, slow suicide by fentanyl, downtowns are turning into zombietowns, the police aren’t funded enough and are at war with social services for funding. The catch and release program of putting repeat offenders back on the street the same day their wrists are slapped giving downtown small business retailers and mom and pop restauranteers a helluva time. The middle class is getting fucked up the ass and are becoming morally, spiritually and financially bankrupt and the rich live in a fantasy world completely out of touch. Taxes keep going up, politicians salaries keep going up yet are completely hopeless and have no clue and can’t inflict change on a system that is out of control and running itself into the ground. Mega projects are going over budget by the billions and everyone is yelling in a echo chamber…..blah, blah, blah

Not sure the central conversation is really about immigrants as a good versus bad entity (although it has devolved into that I suppose) but rather about the lackadaisical approach to entry this day and age, especially with respect to security of citizenship and country.

As well the (rumoured and alleged) free hand outs on arrival at times negating options for a current citizen base (reportedly).

As I've said before I have 100 plus guys working for me in this Province alone and 75% of them are from somewhere else.

I would say the balance of "white" immigrant (sic) to new, non-citizen immigrant, is 50% at least across the other 3 Western Provinces for those under my sphere of responsibility. (The biggest "white guy" ratio being in Alberta obviously).

Family guys.

Hard workers.

Friendly as fuck.

Good dudes.

Contributing on a high end to the economy CPP tax base et cetera.

No issues.

This I agree with Cuz on although it goes both ways.

Information and stats manipulation to serve the needs of others outside the general population base (which we all clearly are) is a plague in today's world.

Outside of the media, which would seem clearly to exist in a general state of exploited fraudulence, the info, stats, clips as well as graphs and charts we post here are all created by others which allows for an ever present beguile factor.

I see one poster who insinuated that "all" Governmental data was skewed (who may have been practicing journalistic license when he said it) and it was not this guy.

If ALL that information is skewed and not to be relied on, then all you're left with is anecdotal, which is pretty useless as a means to determining what's really happening in a country of tens or hundreds of millions.

Ironically it makes you even more prone to media and agenda-driven blogs/websites/youtubers who feast on anecdotes.

I read that the US has been flying patrols over Syria and Iran for the past several days as a deterrent.

I've also seen on flight tracker records, US awaks flying routinely off the coast of Gaza, Israel and Lebanon.

Post Iran tickets, Israel is asking that the locations of rocket strikes not be reported as it is Intel (holes in the iron dome?) that could be used by Iran.
