He said top 4 rh guy. I’d want a potential top pairing guy for a pick that will be in the top 1/2 of the draft. Trouba would be ok but I doubt he extend here. Don’t see anyone else availableStrangelove wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 4:48 pmWasn't Dickie talking about trading the 2020 1st for a top young dman?Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 4:45 pmSo how would that work? If it’s in the top 15 it ends up being the 2021 pick? I’m just not sure there’s a young d man out there other than Trouba and he would have to be signed to an extension to make it worth it.Strangelove wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 4:41 pmOops, okay.
Yes, I would be fine with trading the 2020 pick, lottery protected...

Right, and then you said "It would have to be a younger guy"Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 4:50 pm He said top 4 rh guy. I’d want a potential top pairing guy for a pick that will be in the top 1/2 of the draft. Trouba would be ok but I doubt he extend here. Don’t see anyone else available
... and that is what I agreed with.
I also agreed with you that Jimmy likely won't trade the 2019 1st in a fair deal.
But that I'd be fine with trading the 2020 pick (lottery protected) in a fair deal.
Anyway, blah blah blah blah...

You were OK with it. You considered Hamonic to be a stud.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2019 4:47 pmI was? I said it was a steep price. I guess that means I liked it? You’ve never called Hamonic a stud? A stud
too much. You weren’t screaming bloody murder over the trade. You thought the stud was a good acquisition for your Flames

If I'm the Coilers I offer up Yakupov or Eberle . It's a hell of a lot more than Vancouver could reasonably offer .

And there’s a half dozen posts where I said the price was too steep or too much. But I guess you can’t find those

Regardless of your denials Blob, the Canucks will not be in contention for Raymond or Holtz in 2020

It’s all good Doc. I liked Hamonic when he came up, He was a legit top pairing guy for a couple years as a young player. Whether injuries and play style have caught up I’m not sure. He has regressed a bit but he’s still a legit 2nd pairing guy and he is making 3.8 million. I said several times that it was too steep a price to pay. Amazing nobody could find those posts
