I think most people, myself included, gasped, when we heard Benning had traded a conditional first. Of course there was concern since JT Miller wasn't a household name. I think most thought he would help the team immensely but I think few believed he would have the impact he has had. I think most people today, who understand hockey and the impact he has had on our team, and his cap hit and term, would salute the deal.

Benning got this one right and he hasn't gotten all his trades right. And if we lose out in the elimination, or qualifying round, whatever it is called, well we keep the pick this year. I personally hope we go deep. Not because I think we will win it all but because I want the players to get valuable playoff experience and come back even hungrier next season.

Congratulations Mr handidart! You've earned it!

Miller is over a ppg, the teams leading scorer, leading face off%, top line standout, possibly team mvp.

Meanwhile...

Van*ck is the retard of the week.

Hopefully Vannuck transforms into Seattotem within a year.

I think he was one of the dozen or two who said they were going to become Seattle fans.

Yeah, that's right, a bunch of these trolls on a fucking Canucsk messageboard

Good post. I was away golfing that weekend and I wasn’t impressed with the price tag at first considering where the team was in it’s development even though I liked Miller as a player. Obviously he blew us all away this year and he fit like a glove and provided great leadership for a young squad. I softened on the trade after the initial sticker shock. As I watched him play throughout the year I adjusted my opinion from an okay trade to a very good-great trade. The guy is a horse, he’s versatile, physical, got decent speed and he’s damn near impossible to knock off the puck.

It’s ok to say you were wrong (as a fan on a message board) with your original assessment of a trade or a pick. Chew on a little crow, we all do from time to time. At this point if a person is still criticizing this trade they are a miserable wretch of a fan and likely as a human being too.

This guy is a drip. He’s ‘astonished how stupid and selfish he thought the trade was at the time’

I’m astonished that he won’t shut up about it. You’re a complete moron! Now take a knee and open your mouth.

I'd like to think I'm the key strategist to the beginning of a brilliant future for them.
That's just from the first few pages of the Benning Extended thread, before I ventured in.

Sounded like one of those suicide cults, so I felt a moral duty to talk them off the ledge.

I noticed one long-time Canuck poster there has changed his handle to "Seattle Totems".

(he/she "liked every one of the above posts)
#neverforget

This was the reaction to Lord Benning having his contract extended this past August.

BTW poster Pauser promised to move to Vanuatu, never to be heard from again, if Sweet Jimmy's contract was extended.

(notice how he refers to our Canucks as "them" ^ ... "Let them rot")

QUESTION: Should a fucking Canucks messageboard allow fans of a rival NHL team to constantly slam the Vancouver Canucks?

ANSWER: FUCK NO! :drink:

Everyone knows HFCanucks is overrun with trolls, but no one seems to have the wherewithal to do what is necessary...
