Megaterio Llamas wrote: Mon Jan 20, 2025 4:58 pm Would you trade one of your top two centers before you would maybe try changing the coach? I'm not saying that's fair, but since wjhen is life ever fair. The fact is, Peter plays this way for Tocchet, and Tocchet seems okay with it. Almost like it's what he wants from him. Of course I could ge wrong. Wouldn't be the first time.

Not every team has two elite centers,. But most of the contending ones do.
If the root of the issue is between your top two forwards, then no, I don't fire the coach because the root remains.

Whatever the problems are on the team, and if it does indeed involve an issue between Miller and Pettersson these guys should have trade Pettersson last year. I mean he didn't help us in the playoffs so we would not have missed him. But now they have him locked up and a huge window to trade him to ANY other team. That has got to be worth something.no?

Wouldn’t be surprised if they were trying to flip the Rangers first round pick for a veteran.

To be blunt, Allvin and the Chipmunk put themselves in this mess. It’s truly a disaster that by those running team let it get to this point. They only have themselves to blame.

So prior to last years all star game when the Canucks were 1st overall and Pettersson was on his way to a 100 pt. season he wasn't playing the way Tocchet wanted?

Apparently not, no. Tocchet is a defence first guy, he stifles talent.

It's either that or he can't play because he doesn't like one of his teammates.

Pick your poison I guess.

The inmates are running the asylum. Where’s Quinn or Burke when you need them? It’s obviously too much for Allvin and the old man to handle, personally I think Rutherford is losing his mind.

Nick Kypreos says it's his understanding that Canucks mgmt made a pitch to Boeser to re-sign him, as they like him, and want him back. Obviously, the money and terms weren't there.

Been reading quotes and clips from various sources regarding the McDavid suspension.....unbelievably biased. I'll always excuse the bias from teammates, but the media? Bunch of asshats.

I particularly like Spector gobbling down McOiler cock as he says that McDavid is just taking matters into his own hands rather than wait for the officials to actually protect him and then point to the incidents over the past couple of weeks. The hit on Lafferriere against LA that knocked the King player onto IR. The elbow on Johansson that landed the Minnesota forward on IR. And now this latest on Garland.

In each event McDavid has targeted the head. It was a delayed retaliation against Laferrier. The elbow on Johansson was completely uncalled for and I can't for the life of me see how that could even loosely be defined as protecting himself. The Garland incident was also completely retaliatory.

I do agree with what Perry says, the part of the game where the players police the rough business is necessary. Your stars should be protected, and you know full well the league won't do it. However, the policing needs to be in regards to protecting from abuse. The clutch and grab, the little stuff, that has to be tolerated to a point, and the officials police that. But a price needs to be exacted on the ice when some neanderthal decides to take a liberal run at your best players.

The embarrassment that was the Canucks vs Washington.....no push back as Hughes was given the business by multiple Capital players.....I hate that about the Canucks. Ever since the WCE era began we've been a pussified pack of eunuchs that let our stars be abused and the marching orders were to beat them on the ice no matter how badly they beat us in the alley. I mess the time during the 90's when we know that if anyone fucked with guys like Bure or Mogilny they would be have Gino fuck with them.

That doesn't sound like much of a Frank Cannon investigation
They both signed their contracts knowing they'd be playing with the other one, what happened?

2008-2010, we had Hordichuk, Rypien, Sugar Shane, Bieksa, Davisan, Glass, ..... guys like Mitchell and Ohlund were hardnosed.

The 90's had a lot more toughness than just Gino. The 97/98 roster was Broad Street Bullies like. Quinn, Keenan and Burke loved tough teams. Cheeseburger Guts and AV hated tough players. Gillis had tough teams his first two years and then bucked the nuts off the team.

Let's hope this apparent pull back from the trade leads to a reconsideration of making any of these retarded trade scenarios I've read about.

Why the fuck would we trade JT Miller for Cock-T Aneneome or Jacob Shit-L or whatever trash these teams are offering? To change course? Mid fucking season? After making that massive of a commitment to EP what...8 months ago? It makes absolutely zero sense

Na, this is starting to look like media driven nonsense or possibly manipulation tactics to inspire or ignite some fire in these guys
