Lol
Yes the players. I thought it was a dude nickname. Didn’t realize it was actual names for players

Clear as mud, I’m glad we’ve sorted out the communication breakdown.

I'm wondering why SJS hasn't brought Bystedt up for even a couple of games? This is his third AHL season and on paper, the stats look decent.
In the Reddits, their fans don't seem too keen on this kid, arguing that in hindsight, trading down for this pick was the wrong move. Doesn't sound like they have much faith that he's anything but bottom 6... if he is even good enough for that.
I dunno.

I think it was a first and one of the players.
I mean how much do we really think Sherwood would bring.
I'd be happy with a first tbh.....

Yeah, I got that. Bystedt or Musty smell.
Was just wondering about a 6'3" center that their fanbase don't seem too excited about, that's all.
I think the longer we have Sherwood, the price goes up just because of the way he never quits... even on a bottom-feeder team. My concerns are that he gets injured playing this hard and we can't tank as long as he's around playing balls out.
Definitely want that first.

Yeah...as I've said before I'd be flogging him to all contenders.
He's that bottom 6 type piece that can play up if necessary who often makes a difference in a post season series.
If that SJ offer is I real I'm taking that and calling Nill, Brisebois, MacFarland, Zito, McCrimmon, Tulsky et al, laying it at their feet and creating a bidders war....

I’d be curious to know what he’s looking for. If he can be had for $5 x5 I’d consider re-signing him and dumping one of Hoglander or Debrusk.
Even when he’s not scoring, he’s crashing/banging/stirring shit up and is a decent option on the PK, unlike the aforementioned streaky 1 dimensional deadweights.
Having said that, a 2025 1st is enticing, no matter how late it is.

He’s not worth $5M x 5.

Cap is only going up, and in a few years, 3rd liners making $5 will be common place.
Still, I’d take the 1st

It’s not the $$ it’s the term at 30 years of age.

It's not even his AAV into his 30s or the rising cap, it's his type of game and his size playing said game. Odds are that a aging Toyota Tercel isn't going to fare too well in a smash-up derby with big old trucks in the long run.
You drive up the price and let other teams take on the burden. Take the 1st and prospect. Thank Sherwood for his professionalism and his service and send him off with a few boxes of medical gloves. Good luck, young man... and g'bye.

Yes, I’m convinced. But can they still unload Hoglander and Debrusk?!?!?
Hogshit needs a fresh start and Debrusk would be a good add to a contender.
