It's some sort of a ponzi scheme. He offers the same player/picks to 31 teams and then re-sells the picks/players that we get back before they arrive. There was a drug dealer in my home town as a kid who did the same thing. Mind you, they found him smeared in a ditch when he shorted his distributer and it caught up with him.
One deal lines up another. Multi-tasking

All joking aside, I’m serious about Willander. RS top prospect D-man should be enough to hook a big fish IMO. I would not hesitate to offer him to Carolina for Necas. The Canes are going to lose a ton of D-men to UFA this summer. Chef doesn’t two years to spare for Willander to hopefully pan out either does JT Miller

it’s a neat accomplishment for him to torch the place. it’s not enough to have good back and forth and people laughing.

he’s certainly not capable of sorting it out at 59.

I know this has been discussed before but I would trade Petey straight up for B Tkachuk.

I'm not sensing interest on the part of the Sens there.

Hronek to Carolina for Necas..... overall, yes to the player but no to the drama. Sounds like his dad likes to get involved with management and coaching and negotiations. Hard pass there. If that's not the case, then sure, swing for it.

To CAR: Hronek + Mikheyev ($1M retained)
To VAN: Necas

To OTT: Pettersson + 2nd
To VAN: Tkachuk + 3rd

Retain Lindholm, Blueger, Z, and Myers from the UFA group.

Bring back Silovs.

Boeser - Miller - Necas
Tkachuk - Lindholm - Garland
_______ - Blueger - _______
_______ - Suter - _______

Hughes - _______
Zadorov - Myers
Soucy - _______

Demko
Silovs

Unassigned parts.....

Hog
Pod
DiGi
Aman
Juulsen

Left with $9M in cap space.

Maybe Tanev comes back for $3M? Leaves us with $6M to fill some important spots.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Tciso he can be a decent contributor and as I said my favorite poster here. He’ll rip off some coherent posts then it’s like, fuck it, he needs to flip flop three or four times within a few hours and just gomerizes the place. People bite, he jumps up and down on his pogo stick shrieking with glee and then says we’ll we to adjust this, this and that. Is having an opinion such a bad thing? Is saying Jesus I misjudged that trade or that player such a bad thing? The back and forth is hilarious among posters. But he’s like Jack Cewe at this point.

I believe all his Dad said to some Czech media guy was that his son would like more first unit pp time and is frustrated he isn’t getting it with Carolina. Is that bad?

Necas would be great on our team but he'd be an 8+mil player. how would we fit that in?

I think it was Canucksarmy who had on a Hurricanes reporter who said they wouldn't trade Necas for Hronek.. They like Necas but can't afford him.. why would they trade for another RFA who's about to get paid?

Ideas like trading Willander for a high priced win-now player that we can't fit in to our cap are just showcasing that we likely came out of our rebuild a few years too soon or traded too many picks away during it. To be true contenders we now have holes in our lineup that need to be fixed by a high end ELC or two and we just don't have it.

We are a playoff contender now. We are not Cup favourites though. Its too early to start trading our grade A prospects for a home run swing. First, we dont have many, second you need those guys to help keep the window opened longer.

For some the Lindholm trade was premature. Significant assets given up during a run where we had not yet shown we were really contenders. For me, I liked what Lindholm brought and would be fine if we could find a reasonable way to bring him back, but I did feel it was too much too soon in our resurgence.

This off season must be about destabilizing the D. Priority one should be about ensuring we have 8 NHL D men, of quality.

Secondary is improving the top six.

Both can be done and in Allvin I trust. But not at the expense of any of our grade A prospects. We are not one piece away here.
The only HW the Canucks need

I do agree with this, the only way this happens is if a Willander is involved to pique Carolina’s interest, otherwise it ain’t happen. Necas is a helluva player. The Canes have apparently decided they can’t afford Necas, the arrival of Seth Jones has helped in that decision. The Canes are deep at forward and are about to lose a lot of D-men to UFA which is why I suggested Hronek.

Would not be surprised seeing Necas/Brady Tkachuk deal of some kind. It puts Brady closer to his brother, I don’t believe Brady staying in Ottawa is a done deal no matter what Staios bemoans. The Canes would obviously have to add to a deal involving Tkachuk but not much as Necas is a good player too.
