Yeah, it's a crap team, I've been saying this for a few years.

A few good young forwards on the roster, nothing in the pipeline.

BTW, I keep noticing opposing players pulling up rather than finishing checks on JOHNNY.

It seems to happen a coupla times per game

... fear of a suspension with a little star getting hurt (hard to avoid his head on a shoulder check)?

But don't worry Ratski, someone will destroy him eventually.

John always falls down at the slightest touch near the boards, so probably fear of getting a penalty, guess we'll see if he can always escape unscathed like Marchand, the 5'9 bros.

kind of funny when the refs decided to call stuff for people touching mcdavid rather than john last game.

Fizzling Flames

Hagerman: The Calgary Flames seem to have successfully addressed their needs this offseason, but a 1-3-1 record suggests the club is seeing little value for doing so.

The club acquired Brian Elliott from the Blues in the hopes he would duplicate his stellar 2015-16 season, but so far things have gotten off on the wrong foot. In his first two games with his new club, Elliott gave up 10 goals while posting a save percentage of just .818. Leaving him now with a 4.72 goals-against average and a .839 as of Friday.

The team's offense hasn't been horrid, but still has question marks. The Flames' power play is firing at just 4.5 percent efficiency through five games, the worst mark in the NHL, and star Johnny Gaudreau has just one goal through five games.

The team's poor play may have even trickled over to the practice rink.

I'm loving the Flames start this year. They had such delusional expectations. Now calling for Gulitzan to be fired. Some even calling for St. Treliving to be canned and for Burke to take over. Most though pissed at Johnny and Moneyhands.

Still some delusional fans saying they are further along in their rebuild than Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver but at the same time at a loss to explain what's happening. It's rather funny. But early days still. Plenty of time for them to right the ship, just too bad they have a bad team that will sink the ship once it's righted.

Lol I was perusing the mongo farm last week and one or five of the tards were jabbering about how amazing the city of Calgary was. Am I missing something here? I am no fan of Vancouver , but it looks like Paris compared to that shithole. Calgary is like Kamloops but way worse. It's like Merrits big brother or maybe Butte, Montana.

Yeah I get that you have a better hockey team now due to sucking for six or eight years, but your city is still a fucking eyesore.
