I don't think I have ever seen a kid before who looks exactly the same 4-5 years later as he did the day he was drafted. And I don't remember it ever coming up as a topic of discussion with the team. But there it is.

Canucks should never take a Euro 1st round if they are not already over here, or they are just oozing talent and have size to match.

They just seem to not have the luck with them unless they are named Sedin.

Lekk had 1 good year in Swedish Jr league then went to Swedish HL and was 9 points in 26 games at the age of 18.

Well yeah, sure. But this kid is exactly the same.

Yeah....I get the tongue in cheek commentary but EP40 has gained weight and muscle since draft day.

I haven't seen this sushi kid in pre and post photos as a comparable from draft day until now but trust Megs judgement.

Now I get the game as changed and training is more leaning towards cardio and flexibility, band work, core and the like as opposed to deads/squats/bench/presses et cetera but the boys should be trying to put a little muscle on if they plan on making it in the shows grind.

Even a skill guy like Zegras has gone from high 160's low 170's to a solid 185 lbs. since draft day.

He and that Lukas Reichel are both similar in their play as well as what to expect. Waivers and gone next fall is my guess
