Comparing the players not a big surprise.

Yeah, that is a huge upset.

Latvia is ahead 2-0 against Germany, five minutes remaining of the second period.

Raymond is a great babysitter for the Swedish kids! They had a fun playdate with the Danes today. Final score 6-2.
Raymond had a goal and two assists, Björck had a goal (youngest Swede to score at a world championship) and an assist and Stenberg had two assists. A beautiful one on Björck’s goal. A fun line to watch. These kids are going to become great hockey players! 8-)

Watching this shit right now. I thought without the so called superstars, they have more drive. But Latvia is better.

I take it the US has sent a pretty bad team this year.

The Danes put up a pretty good fight for 40 minutes, 0-0 after two periods.
But then Canada scored three quick goals in the first five minutes of the third.

I wouldn't say bad but unexperienced. Young guns.
This Leonhard guy, he's already playin for Washington.
Had puck possession and tried to check it out with a totally missed check leading directly to a conterattack bam goal..

Crosby is still gold for their team.

Another upset, Austria beats Latvia 3-1. The last goal after Latvia pulled the goalie in an attempt to tie the game.

I’d say Latvia looked like the better team, but Tolvanen (yes, that is a Finnish name),who tended goal for Austria, stole the game.

One of the commentators pointed out that Tolvanen took the austrian citizenship 2 years ago. He's playing for Salzburg about 5 years now.
Austria's win is also a new hope for Germany but if they don't level up significantly i can see Austria in the quarters.

Latvia beats USA 4-2!

There is a real risk that the US will miss the quarter finals.
Sure, they are only one point behind Latvia in fourth place, and both teams have two games remaining.
But Latvia’s remaining opponents are Britain and Hungary, and I cannot see them losing any points in those games.
