I’ll do the leg work of getting us back on track here (2 mods posting the same thing…..talk about unnecessary redundancy)…..
I’m not as concerned as others about the Rags and Blues unless they do indeed host all out garage sales, which I don’t think they’ll do.
While Rossi coming back healthy may inject a modicum of talent back into the top-6, one must remember that he’s a 60 point 2C when playing with arguable the best winger in the league. Here, in Tankville, his most talented potential wingers are DeBrusk, Boeser, and Garland.
EP40 is all but completely nullified by opposing defenders provided they can bench more than 150. He has also gone back to losing more faceoffs than he wins. But fuck me if he can’t block a shot or two. Unfortunately (or fortunately) this isn’t fantasy hockey where points are awarded for advanced metrics.
We just don’t have the offensive punch to outscore our goaltending.

Some of what you posted I agree with...others I don't...but...the key, to me, is the last line.

History and Canuck luck will have us on the edge of our seats is as likely as not....
Don't worry Leves - the Flames will win the draft lottery anyway.
Not really thread appropriate BCE…..especially for a guy who only managed 2 game streak last week.
ah, but I was cheering for Canuck wins, so there is that

Doesn’t count when it’s self serving.

FFS rats. Can’t you read the thread title? It’s supposed to be the NOT SO DEEP thoughts thread.

We really don't want him "replaced".

Huberdeau out for the year post hip surgery.
Once Kadri and Coleman go they are as bad as us.
Better goaltending though...

Fuck me. I take my comments back about the Flames! Add them to the list of teams who I'm worried about challenging the Canucks for last place.

Oh I wish it were so, but I can't see the Flames outsucking the Canucks enough to close the gap. The only way the Flames get the 1st pick is if they win the lottery.

I’m not really worried about anyone overtaking the Canucks in last place, I am worried about the lotto balls.
Even if the Flames went 5 - 20 to close out the season, the Canucks would still need to go , something like,15 - 10 to catch up to them in the standings. Also let’s not forget about those teams also getting loser points.
