I predict this... the Dynamic Duo eviscerate our pylons on D all night with their speed, agility, passing and shooting. With the game on HNIC, they also get all the calls.
Speaking of.....

Did anyone see McDavid's elbow on Johansson in their game against Minnesota earlier this week?

Intentional fucking chicken-wing to the face. Johansson had to leave the game. The colour guys were falling all over themselves saying how it was an accident and that McDavid was just bracing for a hit.....watch the replay, Johansson wasn't going for a hit, he was following the puck that McDavid had drop passed as Johansson was shadowing. Just brutal. Gretzky, Lemieux, Crosby.....none of the greats outside of Gordie would do that, but Gordie wouldn't hide from the fallout. I would be A-OK if someone ended McDavid's career tonight after that.

I'll be watching like I do almost every game - because watching this shitshow unfold is still more entertaining than anything in rural Nebraska.
I dunno man, I might have to perform like George Carlin did in the Jay and Silent Bob movie.

Don't be offended but... why the hell you in rural Nebraska then?
Mëds wrote: Sat Jan 18, 2025 12:01 pm I watched them last year. Didn't see much worth getting excited over other than that the Canucks torched them 8-1.
That's because Prime JTM shut them down along with Easter Brock... and they took on this matchup role for the entire season, while scoring one of the best seasons in team history. More than performed over and above his pay grade and elevating his winger to a level he might never reach again.

Also, had the best defensive metrics of projected goals against... better than both Hughes and Pettersson. Could have crushed the Oil with a healthy Demko and a 60% Alien. Crazy to think that was just last season and we had so much hope for this year.

This doesn't change the facts they will both go down as two of the best in the history of the game and are absolutely exciting to watch live.

Yeah, we can hate on McDavid and Draisaitl all we like.

Both live in a realm guys like EP will never see.

Those individuals reflect generational talents.

Not our guy.

(Cue Cacklin' Cuz with the "I will never cheer for a team with McDavid" and "Datsyuk/Gretzky" blasts....)

Look, I don't like McDavid (because he's good, will go down as one of the best, most exciting to ever play the game). But as a hockey fan, I can sure as hell respect both their games.

To get a chance to see his speed and skill live for the first (and maybe the only) time? I'm actually excited. I want to witness this in person and compare what Bure was like all those years ago. Without them in town, I wouldn't waste my time heading DT and back.

Lawd knows, the home team ain't going to give the fans any excitement. Rogers might as well be rural Nebraska... <- (something goes here)

I get it, back in the day I made it a point to see Lemeuix and Jagr.

Rogers might as well be rural Nebraska... in terms of entertainment value.

This group has spent a few days soul searching. If the D can sort it out and the goaltending stops bleeding gravy off the hop I think we can take the coilers
