All I am hearing is a bunch of crap from both sides that really boils down to something pretty simple. None of the political parties like the press. They like the press that is sympathetic/biased towards them, but they don't like the press as a whole.

Now, it could be because all the parties are very biased, or it could be that the press has simply stopped reporting the news and are nothing but a group of social activists spouting their own points of view, masking as news outlets.

Our (publically funded) media really needs to do better.

Question worth asking......will Rebel News be permitted to travel with the Liberal and NDP parties? If not (which is the obvious answer), why not?

The mainstream media in Canada has continually misrepresented the Conservative party for the past 15 years, why would the Conservatives want to give them access? It's like letting the fox into the hen house and closing the door.

I'm not sure about the Rebel New's access - but wouldn't be surprised if they weren't invited, as they apparently aren't a Canadian Registered Journalism Organization.

"The outlet applied in May 2021 to be designated a "qualified Canadian journalism organization," but was rejected by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), which found that less than one per cent of its content was original news."

They sound like morons. Can't they find intelligent and articulate people to report for them or do they purposely seek out idjits like that Ezra Levant weenie?

Mark Carney is 894 goals short of tying Wayne Gretzky. What happens first? Carney catches Wayne, or Carney balances the consolidated budget?

Is there a Conservative Policy Carney won't almost steal?

0% Carbon tax, but only the the consumer tax, not the industrial tax.

No to the Capital Gains tax increase, but Revenue Canada is still collecting it.

No GST on new home purchases, but only to 1st time home buyers.

Well, it doesn’t solve everything, but it does prevent insider trading based on classified information moving forward.

The issue with Carney is, does he make government decisions based on his previous investment strategy?

Given his anti domestic resource development in his Brookfield role, UN role and his economic advisor to the Liberal Party role, I think we know his focus.

The only really effective approach is to require government ministers to sell all holdings and businesses. I don't think that would go over very well, but I'd have hella respect for those running for office under such a requirement.

Jimmy Carter sold his peanut farm, and people hate him anyway.

Now, that's the real surprise, and it's not even October yet.

Remind me forum, which of his businesses did Trump and Musk sell off upon taking office?

Yeah, that's crazy. And now Musk is shutting down federal agencies that have oversight over (and in some cases ongoing investigations into) his companies.

Conflict of interest, anyone? :look:

No estoy uno latino, pero, hablo uno pequeno espanol.

Me entiende que la esposa de Pierre Polievre es latina.

I am generally a sucker for most Latina girls, as am such with the cuisine and music. But I can not bring myself to vote for a strong leader of Canada who has to let his wife effectively do his job for him in speaking to his constituents. No sè, pero no puedo. Me encanta latinas de todo. Pero, no Pierre.

The man seems weaker in a debate than Milhouse. He'd just give Trump the entirety of BC just to placate the fragile egos running things down South and I have ZERO interest in hitching my wagon to that dumpster fire of a country.

Carney skating with the Oilers reminds me of a passage from Ken Dryden's "The Game".

Dryden explains there was never any politics between the Habs fans, they were simply Habs fans. Many had seasons tickets for a generation or more and sat next to the same people for years. All getting along because they were Habs fans. Diehard Hab's fans.

That changed the night the Referendum results were announced mid game. Some cheered, some booed, many looked at the folks they had sat next to for years in a very different way. They were not simply Habs fans, they were a Yes or a Non.

Also remember that Harper has penned one of the most comprehensive books on the history of hockey ever written.
