Hundreds of Venezuelan gangsters are facing a fate worse than death in one of the world’s most notorious prisons.

300 members of the Venezuelan transnational gang, Tren de Aragua, will be deported from the United States to El Salvador as part of a $6 million agreement between the two countries.

These violent gangsters will now be transferred to El Salvador’s mega-prison, Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT), which houses 40,000 inmates in some of the most brutal conditions in the world.

I like the idea of Carney meeting with the 6th and 7th largest economies in the world to discuss strengthening and increasing trade agreements and defence issues, wonder why a meeting with Germany is not on the trip?

I'd be all for meeting with our Asian allies and even consider a meeting with China before meeting with Trump...

The more Trump and the Americans see the rest of the world moving on without them, the more they lose leverage and panic begins to set in...

Meanwhile back at home, Freeland who by all accounts has a good working relationship with most of the Premiers can meet with them to discuss strategy and co ordinated responses to the tariff war...

After multiple governments fucking this up it’s time to move on and get the new planes. It’s bigger than Trump.

The concern with the F-35s is that they run self diagnostic software which is connected to Lockheed Martin and the pentagon in real time. So the pentagon has immediate access to all information of what the plane is doing or attempting to do. It is widely suspected that the pentagon could shut them down mid flight if they want to. Now, as long as everyone thought of the US as a trustworthy ally, this was not a problem.

Now that the US president is threatening several traditional friends and allies and making territorial claims against them, people are starting to get concerned that it may be naive to rely on American controlled aircraft.

It’s not just Portugal and Canada. Germany, Finland, Denmark and Switzerland are also discussing backing out of F35 contracts.
