That said, it’s another data point towards the theory that Petey is the cancer. The impression before The Split last year was that Hughes and Petey were friends. Now, evidently not so much.

Just another interesting 'clue' as the captain leaves town, and there's no official player sendoff. Maybe the room is still toxic? Who knows - but I'm guessing there are a few players happy to be on a winning streak since he left.

So Carolina lost Jarvis long term. Can they cover the Pettersson contract if the Canucks retain a mill or 2?
