Dumba is over rated.
The funny thing is that Minnesota knows this, which is why they just signed Brodie for the same money.
Why do Canuck fans and writers keep speculating that Dumba could (or should) come here?
I sure as fuck hope not. 5 games was enough attention whoring to endure thank you very much.
He needs to pretend hes black somewhere else

He had a rotten year. Trending down. Boeser didn't have a good year either. Still think Brock has more. Olli, Olli, Olli, there's the ticket.
X fingers.

Some of the hype on Dumba is his age and that he’s a right shot.
I’m with Wiz tho. The off-ice political distraction for him will likely impact his on-ice life. I’d take a hard pass. If he wants to be an activist then all power to him, he can use his platform as a NHL player to do that.....but if I was an owner or GM I would rather he do it as an ex-player. $6M a year should be enough to ask that the employee focus entirely on his job. That’s all.

I'd be good with Dumba, but not at the cost of Boeser.
Dumba is only 6'0", 180lbs, not the biggest dman, has a killer shot though, he's had one awesome season & then mostly 30pt seasons, 10goals-20assists average.
I'd offer up JV+Stech, thats it.
-Otherwise I'm pro Boeser and sign someone like Barrie for our top 4 d-corps.

No to Boeser for Dumba straight up.
No to Barrie.
Kick the tires on TJ Brodie. He plays the right side. Probably too expensive though, but if both Tanev and Stecher walk......

I was thinking of TJ Brodie as well.
I am a big hell no to Boeser for Dumba trade, unless Minny includes a 1st or some other piece.

Maybe something like this...
Folks know that Brock is very close to his family and friends in Minny.
They figure it would be huge for the Wild to bring home a homegrown star.
The Wild are apparently looking to trade Dumba.
Canucks could use a top 4 RSD.
Throw in some people worried Boeser maybe not being worth the $7.5M qualifier due him in 2022
... and there you go?
I don't want to trade Boeser for Dumba.
Although if the Wild were to throw in a first as theman suggested, I'd be tempted.

Markstrom will have to sign at 4 to 4.5. million per, if he wants a retirement style contract. That's the safe thing to do
and what I think he''ll do.

I seeeeee...
So how many years at "4 to 4.5. million per"?
Or are you just going to run away from the conversation when you don't like where it's going?

Doc. I’ll be more clear.....
Why do some fans and writers seem to WANT this to happen?

How about JV, Loui and a pick for Dumba.

Just posted on another board that I would due JV + Stretcher/Joulevi/Prospect for Dumba.
Personally:
I would do Lou/Sutter + JV for Dumba. We would probably need to add a mid/late mid pick and hopefully they would give us a 2nd or 3rd back with Dumba.
Edit:
This discussion is probably best placed in the trade rumour thread.
