It's going to take time to get to the bottom of it for sure, Horseman.5thhorseman wrote: ↑Wed Jan 14, 2026 11:31 amMegs, fraud is a white-collar crime and investigating it typically involves sifting through financial statements & transactions including crypto, invoices, contracts, e-mails, etc. ICE doesn't do any of that. This is just a bullshit pretence to send ICE in to terrorise a Democrat state and turn this into a war.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sat Jan 10, 2026 1:15 pmI know, don't get me wrong. Disrupting this unprecedented fraud investigation boggles the mind. Billions in public funds are being shipped back to tribal chiefs and Islamic warlords in Somalia, local elected officials probably having their palms greased, and it's been going on for years. A strange hill for leftists to choose to die on, to say the least.Topper wrote: ↑Sat Jan 10, 2026 1:07 pmback to the rules of Sanctuary Cities barring cooperation with ICEMegaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sat Jan 10, 2026 12:49 pm I think part of the problem in this situation is that federal customs officers aren't really trained to deal with organized leftist protests; they're basically border agents who deal mostly with non-citizens. This individual appears to have engaged in actions that real police officers are trained not to do.
akin to sending the Black Watch on a humanitarian mission in Somalia

The US Supreme Court is set to rule on the legalities of Trump's tariffs. Presidential powers of taxation (tariffs are a tax on US businesses and citizens) is limited.2Fingers wrote: ↑Wed Jan 21, 2026 11:20 am Countries just don't know what to do, they agree to something with USA and then Trump changes his mind weeks/months later and goes on a rant. It really does not matter what has occurred today and as this continues countries will just get tired and pay lip service to Trump to pacify his ego but quietly work in the background on plan B & C.
Question as I am not totally sure of how USA system work but the mid terms are coming up this year, should the democrats win either the congress or the senate or both can they stop Trump from implementing the tariffs or remove the ones he has already implemented? If so maybe other countries are waiting this to happen?
Although I am not a lawyer or constitutional scholar, it seems pretty clear to me that the law is against Trump on this one. If the SCOTUS actually stuck to their declared principles of Textualism and the Major Questions doctrine, it would be a slam dunk.Topper wrote: ↑Wed Jan 21, 2026 11:30 amThe US Supreme Court is set to rule on the legalities of Trump's tariffs. The Supreme Court, today, once again, put off releasing their decision on the case.
Is the Trump declared War on Fentanyl grounds for the President to impose tariffs? He has done a lot, and I mean a lot, a very very big amount, to undercut his claim.

Based on what?
