If RG had his way anyone who is going to help us win games (not that there are many if any of those) would be gonorrhea-l quickly.

….then of course Ulmark recovers in a few months. Ottawa then has too any goalies and they put Leevi Meriläinen back on waivers….rinse repeat!

Right idea in principle, but Ottawa's first pick already looks likely to come too late, and better goaltending will only make it come later.Picker of Cherries wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2026 4:14 pm They are obviously showcasing Meriläinen.
With Linus Ullmark going down, RJ plans to trade him back to Ottawa with DeBrusk for their first and a prospect.
Are there two young players or prospects you like? Cover is off to a promising start to his season.

A package including Gabriel Eliasson might be worthwhile. https://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdi ... pid=265174Ronning's Ghost wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2026 4:55 pmRight idea in principle, but Ottawa's first pick already looks likely to come too late, and better goaltending will only make it come later.Picker of Cherries wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2026 4:14 pm They are obviously showcasing Meriläinen.

Yup. If RG was our GM, he'd have trades worked out before he'd sign any player.
All of his contracts would be signed in penicil-lin Genius!

Put the game on, and we're down 2.... no need to check who's in net.
What's the rule on EBUGs? Can we just put him in? Actually.... can we set Diesel to be our EBUG, and not violate his NMC?

I like that Bainser has cemented his roster spot with Manny.
It's a feel good story.

I warned about the cheap-ass owner and the nepotism as soon as he brought in the brothers.
The whole sham Gold negotiations cemented it.
