Doc was always careful not to let the negative Nellie’s take over the board. Things are obviously really low right now around here, and his presence is sorely missed.

So you're saying the board is in bad shape?

That negative is the current word of the day....I would call it reality.

Not sure I agree with nor appreciate that comment.

It's true that Doc looked up and forward, "Focus on 3 years from now" ;)

I don't think the board is in a negative place these days - the team is, and we're reflecting that. When we have something to be positive about, we'll jump on it.

But like all armchair quarterbacks coaches, we're doing our best to understand how we got here, and making more than a few assumptions, but again, based on where this team is, those assumptions aren't made with rose-coloured glasses.

I know it sounds that way Donny … but I don’t believe that was what BOS intended.

In fact I was about to post how much cudoos you should receive for the work you have done here.

Yeah...it's not about me, that's not what I meant at all.

I think the board is in a far healthier place than it was a year ago.

Which is not a Doc commentary....it would be so were he here as well.

I don't understand this quiet call out of "negativity".

Topics and talking points come with the current events of the team as Corn says.

With the eviction, posters are free to post openly their opinions again without much filter... if they choose to. If you want "positivity", then bring that. Starts threads. Reply with your POV.

I always had problems with certain posters in the past who barely showed up, don't pop up for months at a time, then complain about the topics and how people should post without making any difference themselves.

Get in the CC gym, people... and stop being vegan. It's not natural.

THIS ^

This is exactly why the site exists - I know there's a fair number of lurkers who like to read, and that's their call - but there not the ones calling out the site for one thing or another.

The Corner is a great place these days - and we welcome new voices, new opinions, and yes, even vegans are welcome. ;)

We're sitting in a bus, that's sitting in a ditch. A couple of Swedish tow truck drivers and their lackey have shown up, but we're not sure if they know what they're doing. It's a pretty negative situation.

That said, any negativity is usually ameliorated by the humor around here, which is what keeps me coming back.

Sadly no. I'm at a rink in fucking Richmond. Can't wait for the kids to finish with hockey so I can get my life back.

And I thought you would appreciate that. Donny. Higher standards and all :)

This made me laugh.

Ameliorated? You positively pretentious rink rat

Your presence here ameliorates the negativity, pain and suffering of your fellow humans.
