Other Sports....non hockey

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

They should just let them use longer poles and see how high they can get. Now that I would watch!

Interesting with the play in layout in the West that Shai and the Sonics end up with Kawhi or Curry round 1 whereby Wemby/Spurs have arguably the easier road as seed 2 with the Sun's or Blazers.

The West is a post season bloodbath waiting to happen as compared to the East.

Team Edin had a terrible Olympics but then bounced back to win their 8th curling world championship gold.

Here’s Oscar Ericsson of ”shut the fuck up, Oscar” fame cleaning the nest…

It was a helluva comeback indeed after a suprisingly putrid Olympics for Edin and team.

Niklas is still the best Skip in the world and his group remain the best team.

The Alien, who last season trained at Monastery in China, The Dream's gym and in the park with Garnett is hinting at training with a rugby squad this off season.

I get the strength, endurance and short energy bursts the training would develop, but medical staff would shit if he played a scrimmage.

Lift him in the line out and possession is ensured 100% of the time.

Nuggets v Timberwolves potentially a stellar first round NBA match up for those who care.

Jokic vs Anthony Edwards.......

A different alien with 35 in his playoff debut... this one didn't choke on his Reese's Pieces.

Slick moves for such a tall dude.

Totally carried the ball on the reverse spin. Tipped it almost over in his hand…..borderline DD.

Honestly it’s why I started to stop watching NBA. Travelling and ball handling rules don’t really seem to apply.

NCAA ftw.

Last year's MVP and probable repeat this season, SGA, is reason not to watch basketball.

Mid range jumper is his bread and butter with the ball handling to get open for it.

BUT he flops like an English Premier League player.

Hooks the defender's arm, flops, shoots two.

Kicks out his legs forward into the defender, shoots from the line.

Yesterday was typical, 25 points, 15 from free throws. Guy has loads of talent but is embarrassing himself.

Wemby has nearly a 9' stride, he can cover a lot of ground. NBA allows 2 gather steps after the dribble, NCAA only allows one. Amazingly he slammed the ball off the opposite side of the rim with his body outside the plane of the backboard. He's an Alien.

Not a fan of SGA at all. I prefer Murray over him.

But isn't that what Reggie Miller used to be? Except Reggie would talk so much trash (that whole generation did) and had a 3pt shot.

I liked RM and that whole era of basketball.
