The nutlessness of the Vancouver Canucks has been a major issue the whole time. It's perplexing how nobody running this chickenshit outfit has clued into this and why I want to see the rest of these idiots ran outta town asap.

Explains why Buium especially looked happy for Douglas after he scored his first NHL goal.

..and Abby...which is arguably worse.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2026 2:02 pm The nutlessness of the Vancouver Canucks has been a major issue the whole time.
Players like Lekk getting bent over barrels down there ad infinitum.
These fucking guys....

No coincidence Pavel's best bud was Gino.

... and his elbow
But I really hope this is a turning point in the culture of this team. I've seen enough of 'turn-the-the-other-cheek-and-make-them-pay-on-the-powerplay' strategy. It's best if the opposition doesn't even start shit. Douglas alone is not the answer, but he's a start. Be nice to have one or two on reserve in Abby as well.

After we picked up the Douglas Fir...
He fought.
Blueger fought.
Hronek fought.
D.Petey fought.
DoC fought.
Willander and Buium sorta fought (tho that might've been before, can't recall).
Agree, hopefully never see no-show responses again whenever the Boesers get Jeannot'd or the Hughes get Dubois'd (no wonder he wanted out).
Already more response in the past 10 games than the past 10 years.

Correction:
There actually was an immediate response on the initial Dubois knee, and a pretty strong one from Sherwood (no surprise), so don't want to discredit him.
I think it was the second time when Dubois shoved Hughes off his feet that I was referring to.

Remember when the toxic 1C fought multiple times? Remember when the smallest guy was being attacked by McDavid of all people? Who jumped in? No, not that guy that we made a fish screensaver meme of.
Imagine some people mocking him fighting while repeatedly betting on a loser horse for 28 months now.
Anyone surprised JR dropped a bombshell that the toxicity didn’t end until month ago? But now it’s utopia.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26
I would like to see TFGs execute the MCP free agent shuffle strategy, but even more than that, I want them to sign multiple goons who aren't just willing to fight, but really hurt the other guy when they do.
The Canucks have two more seasons in which wins are not just irrelevant, they are counter-productive. Use those two seasons to condition the rest of the League to the idea that it's much more fun to just take the two points than to start shit and spend a month on a liquid diet.

So, Hughes was toxic? Or Myers. Definitely Myers and his poison toad licking. Or maybe Gnarland was microdosing only half the team. I got it. Kiefer parked his Hatley by the hvac for the locker room, and they all had carbon monoxide poisoning.Carl Yagro wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2026 5:40 pm

I am glad we found the source.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 25-26
The “culture” comment was hilarious.
You know, the problem 5 years ago was that it was a country club.
Then the problem was guys barking at each other in practice?
Every vibe is the wrong vibe when you are losing. Losing and loose? Too loose. Losing and intense? Squeezing the stick, gotta have fun. Go to the U2 show at the sphere and go on a run? Just needed to bond. Don’t go to the show? Wake up call.
Yawn.
But I think there are a couple things that are nearly always problem signs: (1) teammates who aren’t standing up for one another; (2) camps that go beyond affinity clusters, insider/outsider stuff.
