So.... who is your 'Playoff' Team?
Since we won't be seeing any Canucks in the playoffs for a year or two - I was curious to see who you have for your 'team to follow' or 'team to root for' in the playoffs this year?
Not necessarily who you want to win - but just who are want to see win the Cup?
...and you can add "the why" if you're so inclined.

I probably won’t tune in much at all.
I’ll root for Dallas in hopes Myers can get a Cup.
I wouldn’t have been opposed to Colorado until they required Kadri.

100% Buffalo.
It's been fun to see our expansion cousins turn it around, a night and day difference after firing their GM.
Somehow their 56 years lack of success is worse than ours, so I hope they can go deep. Those guys, especially the loyal ones like Dahlin, deserve some joy. Finally.

Not Minnesota. But never want Hughes to win it. Not Oilers, for obvious reasons. I’d be happy for Dallas and Myers. But I think k it will be Avs and Tampa.
The only HW the Canucks need

Buffalo and Dallas, pretty much for reasons already mentioned in this thread.
Re: So.... who is your 'Playoff' Team?
Colorado - for the exact opposite reason Mëds isn't rooting for them.

I support this. Bring the cup back to Canada!Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 10:50 pm Any Canadian team.

Lord Stanley explicitly said the cup should be awarded to the best team in the dominion.
I don't think the US teams qualify.

You need to head downtown and buy a McGayvid jersey today Mëds. It's the only way to break the cycleMëds wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2026 3:12 amI’ll never cheer for Edmonton, Calgary, or Toronto.Cousin Strawberry wrote: ↑Tue Mar 10, 2026 10:50 pm Any Canadian team.

Re: So.... who is your 'Playoff' Team?
Don't have a specific team - but will cheer for the ones playing against Minny and Buffalo. Guerin got his already, and I don't want the Sad Club getting smaller... Vancouver has a lot of questionable records against - think Gretzky's 802 etc. It would be the worst, if they were to be the last NHL club to win a SC. Buffalo offers a slight hope this won't be the case.
If a Canadian team makes it deep, I'll always cheer for them*. Bring that cup home! '93 is toooooooooooooo long ago.
*Edited, no. In hindsight, that isn't quite true. I'll never cheer for Toronto.

Re: So.... who is your 'Playoff' Team?
I'll follow Carolina, since a good friend is a fan. They're one of the few teams I don't hate (yet).
If a Canadian team is to win it, I could hand Ottawa or Montreal bringing the Cup home.
Buffalo? Fuck them - I don't want them to win the Cup before us - let them suffer.
If Myers wins the Cup with Dallas, I'll enjoy watching him carry it.
The rest? I'll tune in randomly and watch a few games to see some good hockey.
