This tourney isn't the same without Russia.

I understand the why. But still, want to watch the best teams play.

Sad Canada couldn't put it together. Some great games though this year.

I don't understand why. The Americans are constantly invading countries with their army, and when was the last time they were prevented from playing?

Might be one of the worst defensive cores we've seen in the red and white maple leaf at this tournament. A complete tire fire in their own end.

Kudos to Czechia. They earned it.

Czechia is a very good team. I thought they were the better team tonight and full marks for the victory. Canada look disjointed at times.

I find myself cheering for Czechia tomorrow.

The Olympics is complicated. There will even be Russians participating in some events.
The IOC has left it to the governing bodies of each individual sport. No team events though, if I understand it correctly.

But yeah, FIFA should move the World Cup.
Especially since Canada and Mexico are already hosting as well. Just increase their portions and eliminate the US cities.
But it's not going to happen; FIFA is an extremely corrupt organization. It's all 'bout the money.

Agreed, wanted to come here and post something similar.

I saw on 1 play where Canada's D man had the puck and the other 4 gave zero puck support, hell all 4 from what I could see already left their zone. Too much about the scoring and hotdogging on the team vs. playing good on both ends of the ice. This is why it is not just about points when selecting players to represent the country.

What noticed most was once the cycle was established in their own end Canada often had two players chasing the puck carrier until one realized they should be covering someone else. Typical breakdown for a team not well drilled defensively. Czechia forecheck was relentless as a result.
