IF HE STAYS HEALTHY he is a Vezina type goalie.
So if he looks healthy.
So much depends upon him being healthy right.
If he is healthy he can make a difference for us in a big way.
That's a lot of ifs Wids.
Dude is regarded as damaged goods around the NHL no doubt.
Possibly even as a little bit injury neurotic.
Damaged goods with 8.5 million dollar contracts with NMC's and all those ifs.
Tough sell.

What would you ask for from LA or Carolina?
Please take him and his massive cap hit without us having to add a sweetener?

If that's all we're asking then we should send him to the Oil to doom them once and for all.

You talking about EP? I agree.
The entire old core should be gone.

So I did some research.
Apparently LA & Detroit both boast top end goaltending prospect depth.
However...to answer your question.
LA - Liam Greentree - big OHL RW - scores a lot of goals
Carolina - Nikita Artimonov (great season last year in the KHL...struggling this year though - unable to ascertain why without digging deeper - looks a lot like a serious sophomore slump)

Thx Leves.
I’ll do some digging on both, but I’m getting red flags about the Russian.
We need to keep an eye on the Ducks too. Demko would probably love to head close to home.
I also like Megs’ Sherwood to Dallas.
If some of the vets’ agents haven’t already been speed-dialing the Baldies, they should be proactive in making calls.

Well Picker...Greentree is 6'3" & 216 lbs. & turns 20 in January.
He has scored 126 goals in 212 games in Windsor playing in the O since he was 16.
He also went 14G 10A in 11 playoff games last year.

I disagree to Raty not playing.
Kid should be on the ice developing.
They have to pump Kampf’s tires to get that elusive 6th rounder at the deadline.
An elusive 6th like Pavel.
I'm liking this Zeev and his constant smiling.

For Demko? 1st round pick and a 2nd tier prospect.
Would settle for a 2nd, 3rd, and prospect.....we're trying to get out from under the contract.

A few comments;
Unsual these days, I did watch a bit of the game, and even more unusual these days, the game was on in the background.
New guy needs more time with his team mates but one thing that stood out was the PP.
Instead of the puck going to Hughes for dipsy doodles trying to force a open two man advantage elsewhere, the Wild simply shoot the fucking puck no matter who has it.

Shoot your shot…..what a concept.
While he did score in his debut, I wonder if Hughes minutes and scoring take a dip in a system that isn’t designed to run through him.

Offset by the enhanced talent around him so at the very least status quo would be my guess.

For most of the game, Hughes was neck and neck with Faber for TOI. Made sense since they were playing together.
At the end, he had the highest TOI at almost 27 minutes, 3 minutes more than Faber.
With how deep their team is now and how they run special teams, they don't need super heavy minutes from him and the points will likely spread around more. Lower PPG (as if that is the end all be all) for everyone but more dominating wins.
Ah, I recall those Sedin years... just don't mention the SCF.
