For sure. Seems like the league decided to make a mid season adjustment on the rule and not tell anyone.
They only adjusted the rule for that one goal. The next one like it against the Canucks will count

Hand the keys to the kids, stick a a Learner's on the tank and let them drive.

Should have had a few hats on the ice, but other than that... was a good game.
