The 'Chain of Command' is the chain I am going to beat you with until you understand I am in charge.

I give it until Bedard’s next multi-point outing.Madcombinepilot wrote: ↑Mon Oct 27, 2025 11:04 amThis is gonna haunt ya. Can't wait to see the goalposts move on this.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Sun Oct 26, 2025 9:03 pm Celebrini is a far super player than Bedard.

Seems Trevor Zegras 2.0 is doing pretty well so far playing Tocchey Hockey.

Look, there’s no doubting Bedard’s puck skills, it’s his overall game that is the problem for me, especially being a centre. Not sure how you can watch a Blackhawk game in it’s entirety and go “wow! He’s a beauty.”? He’s mostly unnoticeable 5 on 5.Madcombinepilot wrote: ↑Mon Oct 27, 2025 11:04 amThis is gonna haunt ya. Also, this is his 3rd season.
I hope he proves me wrong. But for now, he’s not. There are a number of young players in the league at the moment who impress me more per shift. Cooley and Celebrini, are far more impressive each shift.

50 points from the back end in consecutive years, I suppose that's the going rate.
I shudder to think what Hughes and Makar will be commanding in 2 years time.

That info could be and pasted and used as fodder for debate in the Hughes thread.
On both sides of the equation.

How Chef feels the last 10 first overall picks (2016-2025) will rank after all is said and done:
1. Matthews
2. Schaefer
3. Celebrini
4. Hughes
5. Dahlin
6. Hischier
7. Bedard
8. Slafkovsky
9. Power
10. Lafrenierre
I think 2 to 5 will be fairly interchangeable, close.

Correct…. I’m surprised by both actually…

Re: AROUND THE LEAGUE - 25-26
Well Kesler is in pretty hot water, Tocchet has what appears odd relations with his players, Miller is in town and the group is attempting to asses both whether EP40 is back (ish) and whether or not to contemplate moving Hughes and what the result of that would be.
And aboriginals appear the topic of the day at Wheelers section of the site.
Actually Matthew's has developed a decently solid 200 foot game.
This stat doesn't shock me....
