Remember when EP40 came into the league and he was hyper competitive? Like every time he lost the puck he acted like a dog trying to get a bone back instead of, well, a dog? Saw some of that with those blocks at the end of the game….

Good thing the game isn’t 61 minutes. Short bench, third game in three and a half days, Canucks were gassed. But dug for it.

Evander Kane leads the league in stoopid. Drop pass into your own zone when you can just skate things out. Wtf? Never seen a guy turn the puck over so much with backwards passes. But situationally, that last one inexcusable.

Hoping for the best for Chytil. But wouldn’t be surprised if that hit ends his season or more. Brains > hockey, man.

Bouchard’s dumb. No question. But even his goofs against the Islanders the other night had an upside if he makes the play he was trying to make (and on the Horvat goal, if his teammate won the board battle). They were terrible plays, no doubt, but the thing that gets me about some of the plays Kane’s been making is there is no material upside to having the play he is trying to make work. Nonetheless, I’m not going die on the Kane’s more stoopid hill because Bouchard is in fact very very stupid….

I’ll also give Kane this: he’s not quitting on plays. Bouchard’s stoopidity is often combined with a certain don’t give a damn about, say, playing defense, and that’s maddening. As is the fact that if he could clean that stuff up, he’d be elite.

EP40 with 2 key blocks to preserve the win. As long as he is sound defensively I can wait for him to get the O going again.

Kane dumbass back pass. I get what he was trying to do. He don’t have a clear shot on the empty net but they guy behind him did. If it worked it would have been sweat. But situational awareness was lease. He won’t do that again.

I guess we can expect Raty back in next game. But still down 2. Who gets the call? Maybe Boeser will be back and we only need to call up one. Or none if we do t need a spare.

Man that was a wicked hit Chytle took. I hope he stayed out as a precaution but he didn’t look good. He was playing good hockey too. If he is gone for a long period of time we may have to put up some D prospects to get help.
