Having to keep tabs on a player earning $11.6 million per year is the concern

I suspect management has never been overly impressed with Petey's offseason work ethic, but the kid kept producing and showing promise so likely didn't make a big deal about it and let the coaching staff handle it.

Then last season happened.

For a kid with Petey's evident ego, the past year has been a gut-punch - punctuated by management being up his colon about his offseason this year. It's all in how he reacts to it. By early indications, last year may well be an outlier.

Maybe this is Petey's "Road to Emmaus" moment where he sees the light and comes back a converted workout and practice fiend? a fan can only hope.

The 2017 class was supposed to be a shitty class but a lot of gems came out of that one. The 2016 class was supposed to a great class but a lot of busts and clunkers came out of that one. There will always be Wyatt Johnston’s to find in the 20’s, Jason Robertson’s in the 2nd round, Seth Jarvis’ in the teens and busts like Lafrenierre going 1st overall. It is what it is. We drafted Kesler and Ohlund in the latter parts of the 1st round we can do it again.
Is this a joke? You'll have another diaper filled redraft on 2025 by October. Go sell crazy somewhere else.

Wouldn’t have hired Tony Gallagher’s boi - Mike Gillis the Players Agent whom Pat Quinn despised as well as many other GM’s throughout the league?

Woosh

My bad, sometimes it’s hard to see the forest through the Benning vs Gillis War. Life’s a bitch.

Word on the street, Demko has agreed to a new contract. Term has been agreed upon. They are still ironing out all the financial details but overall cap is agreed as well. Deal expected to be signed tomorrow. So we are not trading Demko.
