Roy has already been an NHL coach, but stepped down from his role with the Avalanche in 2016, citing a lack of input on personnel decisions. But the Hockey Hall of Famer and four-time Stanley Cup champion recently announced that he was interested in pursuing NHL opportunities once again. He's been coaching in juniors, so he's very adapted to working with and getting the most out of younger players.
I'll also admit to knowing sweet fuck all about him over the past decade.
I'll also admit to being concerned about the hand in the personell decision comment considering the issues discussed at this here GDHTMB regarding the current coaches choices.
I was hoping we would snag Gallant when we had the chance, but it came down to loyalty and the success in the bubble... essentially writing off last season as an anomaly.
They didn't want to lose their minor league coach, so they promoted him. I didn't think either Clipboard nor Green were ready to be NHL coaches.
Now it's like you're stuck after re-upping Green. I'm sure Aqua doesn't want another dead contract to pay out. Green better figure it out in the next little bit because if this season gets away from him, there's no choice but to dump him to salvage this year.
Wouldn't be surprised if discussions are being made behind the scenes.

Roy is an arrogant self-centred hot-headed prick, I despise him with a passion.
...tell me how you really feel lol.
I'm glad you asked.
Raw has walked out on two NHL teams, one as a player, one as a coach.
* One time while coaching a junior team he ordered his son go out and goon a top player on the opposition.
I won't mention the alleged domestic violence incident because the judge dismissed the charge and a divorce quickly followed.
Raw loves only himself and he's one angry cunt.
Oh and Micky loves him... all you need know really.

"On March 22, 2008, in Chicoutimi, Quebec, Roy was involved in another on-ice incident during Game 2 of a first-round playoff series against the rival Saguenéens. Late in the second period, in which the Saguenéens were leading 7–1, a brawl started and Remparts goaltender Jonathan Roy, Patrick Roy's son, charged towards opposing goaltender Bobby Nadeau. The younger Roy hit Nadeau numerous times despite Nadeau indicating he did not want to fight. After knocking Nadeau down, Roy continued to hit him. Roy then fought a second Saguenéens player before skating off the ice while holding both middle fingers up to the crowd. Patrick Roy denied inciting his son to fight, despite video evidence showing Roy making a gesture towards his son while he was advancing towards Nadeau. After investigation by the League office, Jonathan Roy was suspended for seven games and fined $500, while Patrick Roy was suspended for five games and fined $4,000. The Quebec Ministry of Public Safety has launched a police investigation into the matter.[33][34][35] In late July 2008, Jonathan was charged with assault in Saguenay courts.[36]
Roy, during a press conference as the head coach of the Remparts in 2012
On November 21, 2008, Roy's other son, Frederick Roy, found trouble playing for the Remparts when he cross-checked an opponent in the head after a stoppage in play. Frederick was ultimately suspended 15 games by the QMJHL for the incident, which occurred the night before Patrick Roy's jersey retirement ceremony in Montreal"

Me neither, unless the team knows more about Petey's struggles than they're revealing publicly.
He's been nerfing the first-line/top offensive line/top PP, because the play is just dying on his stick. At this stage of the season, we're only talking about a couple of goals being the difference between having a 3-5-1 record and a 3-3-3 record.
And yes, if (and hopefully they are) the Canucks are run like any other major 9 figure business they are continually and constantly assessing staff and relative performance of same, especially so when things are going poorly.
I don't think there is any doubt that questions have been asked.
To what degree the discussions are at is a matter of conjecture.
Imesho the subject has been broached internally if only on the periphery for now.

Hamonic set up Di Giuseppe for a PP goal Saturday in Abby and was skating again Sunday. Benning said Hamonic's return to Van is pending. “We’re going to talk to him later today to see how he feels and where he’s at and then decide from there.”

OEL must be banged up. Insanity to send Rathbone to the minors and keep Hunt. I bet the real reason is with Hamonic coming back they had to
clear Rathbone's 9.25K to fit him in.
