CC Random thread

The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

Blood and urine tests for my puppy came back clean. Vet was puzzled, though the tests obviously don't check for everything. I guess it's a wait and see to see if the problem reoccurs.

Curious why they had to have a commercial with beautiful models wearing such provocative clothing, seems he is exploiting them for his own benefit. 8-)

Checked out his website and the shavers are not even ready for sale yet, just preorder.

This is pretty much everything these days. Pre-orders then wait until you have a large enough run to produce profitably, then manufacture.

I ordered shoes months ago, they keep getting pushed back on delivery.

Good sign! Hope it doesn't reoccur.

A chain of supermarkets in Spain, Mercadona, basically has this as their business idea. For mysterious reasons standard contracts in Spain allow for payment within 90 days. Mercadona basically moves their items at cost, undercutting all other convenience stores, the idea is to have things flying off the shelves, invest the money for close to three months and generate a profit from the investments rather than from the sale of food products.
They seem to be doing fine, you see their stores everywhere.

It's called a float. A much bigger float is available in the insurance industry. Collect premiums now and pay claims later. Use the float to invest in businesses. It's how Warren Buffet runs Berkshire Hathaway.

Nope. Tried one once, have no intention of repeating that mistake.

It’s an abomination trying to look like the divine Italian Affogato.
Now that is an underrated snack.

Two scopes of ice cream in a tall glass, add 20cl hot espresso.
Add a touch of sugar or liquor if you want, but the basic two ingredients already make for perfection.
