2007:

Today:

The real Barack Hussein Obama hated war and bypassing Congress... and golf.

Thank you, I've always wondered about your "Location".... "over there". :D

Now is there ANYONE who has an opinion about this petrodollar business??

There are folks... out there... who think USA makes up excuses to take out dictators who are not

... or threaten to stop

... selling oil in American dollars.

The proponents of this theory suggest that once some schmuck is elected US president (Bush, Obama)

... it is explained to them that the American standard of living would collapse if not for the petrodollar.

Petrodollar = Oil sold in US dollars, which of course boosts the American dollar, which in turn boosts standard of living.

This COULD explain America going after Iraq, Libya, Syria (they're already arming the opposition)

.... and perhaps eventually Iran (get those bomb-shelters ready boys and girls). :look:

See, if someone like Obama thought the only way to save America is to take out guys like Gaddafi/Assad

.... well it could explain his transformation into the warmonger we see before us today.

It explains the "OMG they're using weapons of mass destruction" bullshit excuse (Iraq/Syria).

Hey, only a tiny fraction of the 100,000 Syrians deaths so far are alleged to have been by chemical

(and videos above suggest there is some doubt as to who allegedly deployed these chem weapons). Image

EDIT: Hmm Iraq used chems on the Kurds but US let that slide; Iraq was in favour of petrodollar at the time.

Hmmm. Then Grenada, Afghanistan and Serbia we're obviously exceptions to this rule.

Curious if North Korea purchases its oil is USD

But is it traded in US$'s or is the price only quoted in US$'s?

Why then does the NHL pay players in petrodollars?

Sorry doc...the USA will be having extreme financial issues within 15 years according to a very smart very wealthy Texan guest I was fishing. Printing money...debt has crossed the no return point.... If this conspiracy has legs....I should sell my house in az within the next 2-3 years..

To be honest I'm no expert on the theory.

And things have gotten hectic in Strangeworld lately so I don't have time to research.

But I can tell you that the Petrodollar Warfare theory involves more than just pricing oil in US dollars.

It also involves the control & flow of oil.

I've read that Afghanistan is hugely significant in that regard.

As in: PIPELINES Image

For years USA has made no secret of the fact that 'where the pipelines go' is worth waging war over.

Afghanistan/Syria are two of the most strategic locations on Earth in terms of controlling which way the oil flows.

As for Grenada and Serbia, can't say if/how they tie into this theory.

But then this theory doesn't say that every war involving the US is about the petrodollar.

This theory just says most wars involving the US are about the petrodollar. :mex:

BOTH, which artificially creates huge demand for the US buck.

Or so the theory goes...

The only way out for the U.S. is to do the impossible, like another 9/11. :o

According to Petrodollar theory, as long as oil remains as important as it is today

... and as long as oil is mostly traded in US dollars

... the amount of debt does not matter one iota.

However if either of those two things change... well the US would be done like dinner.

I'm guessing at that point they'd start WWIII and blame it on Russia/China

(to the relatively few... and severely charred... folks remaining).

The good news is WWIII would last all of 4 hours and 22 minutes.
