The ship the Iranian commandos seized was a privately owned freighter, not a container ship. This is big for a couple reasons. This route has yet to contend with pirates or terrorists, and it was an oil tanker. Insurance rates will now go up for this this route and transporter, thus having more a negative impact on inflation.

Regarding Irans isolation, it is believed up to 9 countries were involved with Saturdays attack. Iran, Iraq, Yemen and Syria, while Saudi, Jordan, US and UK also involved in the defence.

At least a dozen countries have condemned the attack from Iran.

Likewise the European Union and the United Nations.

Iran is on record saying they will use their nukes just as soon as they're ready.

You want peace in the Mideast? Take down Iran (regime change?).

No more Hamas (Palestine), Hezbollah (Lebanon), Houthis (Yemen), Islamic Resistance (Syria/Iraq).

War is a trillion dollar business.

Just look at how much money companies are making replenishing countries stock piles of weapons.

Jordan, Turkey and the UAE also assisted in downing drones.

The Sunni Muslims hate the Persians more than they hate Jews.

An all out conflict in the region at this point will have strange allies and foes.
The Syrian government is pro-Russia and pro-Iran, but most of the Syrians are not.
Lebanon is also split, with Hezbollah being close to Iran while most other political parties are not.
Jordan is pro-USA, but sympathizes with the Palestinians, while trying to have a peaceful coexistence with Israel.
Qatar, who are squeezed between the Saudis and Iran, are trying to be friends with everyone. Cooperating with Israel and funding Hamas.

It could easily become Iran against everybody, but some countries are on the fence.
