March was the warmest March on record, which makes it the tenth consecutive month to set a new record for warmest on record.

Seems we're headed toward a Pliocene kind of climate, which is the last time CO2 levels were as high as they're now.
2-3 C hotter than today
No polar ice caps
Sea levels 15-25 metres higher than today
Far more volatile weather patterns than we've had for the past two million years
This might be a good time to invest in property in Yukon, Nunavat, North-West territories, Alaska, Greenland and Siberia.
Just try to avoid areas that are lowland or where the melting permafrost is several metres deep, as the latter can cause structural instabilities if you plan to build something.

Honestly I was also wondering how anyone could determine that.
I would think that volatility occurs when there's some sort of disruption, like rapid increase (or decrease for that matter), in temperature, massive volcanic eruption, etc. but I wouldn't think it would be a lasting phenomenon. Eventually an equilibrium is established.

electric motors have far fewer moving parts so should last comparatively indefinitely with only brushes and batteries being the weak point.
Give it a couple of years. The battery technology is moving along almost as fast as computers did in the 90’s and onward.
Five years from now the electric vehicles will be amazing, and probably cheaper than fossil cars.

Also, hotter temperatures leads to more water evaporating and what goes up most come down, so all in all a lot more rain, but not necessarily in the hottest parts, so we’ll se more deserts and more torrential downpours and flooding in other regions.
Humans will adapt, we can live almost anywhere, but as the sea levels rise and the deserts grow, there will be less land suited for agriculture, so we may see a lot of climate refugees trying to relocate to the places that are still habitable. This could lead to armed conflicts. But it’ll probably be another 50 years before it gets really problematic, so we here at this board are not likely to be seriously affected. I’m more concerned about the children that are born today. They’re probably going to be way worse off.
