I was a little off with that avoiding U2 and wearing black were important keys to this series. And little did I know there are a whole row of switches, and only some got flipped before game one. Pretty sure Petey’s god mode switch hasn’t been flipped yet, but it’s coming.
I’m thinking they’ll tighten up more this game and my original score prediction for game one will come true tonight which will lead to a long OT. I’m thinking 2-1 Canucks winning in double OT. Pettersson scoring at the 1:16 mark as his switch is finally flipped.

The old dimmer switch is about a quarter of the way on but popping and crackling and the light is flickering a bit.
5-2 Nucks regardless
Petey with a greasy net-front goal to kick off his playoffs.
Huggy end-to-end, circles of the net three times before sending a limp wrister seeing-eye shot into the net.
Joshua with the Forsberg on a breakaway.
Hronek uncontested slapper that has the goalie ducking.
Booeser all smiles as he hits the empty net. Wids in ecstasy.

In an interview yesterday, Rickey said he had a word with a few players he didn't think had brought enough in game one.
One of those conversations was caught on video.

Adjustment game.
Hopefully the Preds aren't as good as the Chef at making them, or the leaves.
Petey needs to show up, or sit out if he is injured, rest up. Allow Podz to add some depth to the wings. His line was badly outclassed last game and could have cost Van a W. This game will be even tougher, and if he isn't ready... make room.
Forsberg's line was also outclassed, along with Saros - you know they'll bring it tonight.
Van's defense all played fairly equal minutes - now that Myers is in War mode, instead of Chaos mode - it adds real balance to the right side. Hughes only had to play 22mins, everyone else played around 19. If we take less penalties, I expect more Hughes, less Cole - which should lead to more offense as well.
Lets GOOOOO!

Be interesting to see how the team responds - I'm sure they don't want to pull off another come from behind win. They have the coaching, they have the players - they will have the win.

We should have known something was up when Silovs was called up.
I did warn Rick not to overplay him...

If we didn't have bad luck we'd have no luck at all.

Well that sucks.
Though, DeSmith has beaten them earlier this year - and is 2-1 against Nashville for his career... if that helps anyone?

I believe that was standard procedure to have an ebug that isn't a UBC dropout.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 10:55 amWe should have known something was up when Silovs was called up.

Zach Sawchenko would make more sense if it was a spare goalie situation. He's been the #3 down in Abby all year.Topper wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 11:35 amI believe that was standard procedure to have an ebug that isn't a UBC dropout.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 10:55 amWe should have known something was up when Silovs was called up.
