Here or elsewhere :?:
He isn’t as bad as people here make him out to be. I don’t think he’s outstanding but this team is sooooo weak. What coach could guide this mess into the post season and do even a bit of damage?
He does get the max out of this roster, that's for sure...

If Bo is out, along with Petey, Sutter and Beags.

We'll have:

Miller
Gaudette
MacEwen
Graovac
Hawryluk

Boyd is in quarantine for a week. :?
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Ugliest game for the Canucks all year. Maybe not the most goals against but simply no game in them at all.

That was as ugly as expected. Wednesday is a write off already if Bo is out.
Well at least they made it to 500 for a few days until injuries hit.
Pretty clear who’s making the playoffs in the North.
Ottawa put a nail in Calgary’s coffin.
Schadenfreude for all!

Toronto +10
Edmonton +8
Winnipeg +8
Montreal +6

Calgary 0
Vancouver -1
Ottawa -9

post game; Miller / Benn..3:37 min
“We need guys to step up to the plate. As much as it sucks to lose our centres, this stuff happens. We need to challenge ourselves to be the best versions of ourselves right now.” - J.T. Miller
post game Demko..2:30 min.
“It’s not something you want to deal with but it’s part of the game. It’s going to happen and we have to go about our business the same way and prepare to win.” - Thatcher Demko on the challenge when losing players to injury.

post game Green..2:28 min.
*Travis Green: I thought our team played their asses off tonight
--Travis Green: I thought our guys stuck with it. We had a game plan going in of how we needed to play. If a couple of those shots (that hit the post) go in, it's a different game. It didn't feel like a 4-0 game, and I liked a lot of things in our game.
--No update from Coach Green on Horvat or Sutter.

Yea it’s a broken earthpad or a broken ankle. That was a fucking bomb by Edler. Tough kid, he did well to get off the ice. You could see even the Jets were concerned.

I think it was good for the team to play these last dozen games under some pressure and they handled it well for the most part. They are still razor thin depth wise and it shows when a couple of regulars are out. Sell what you can and grab a couple of picks. It will be an interesting offseason here regardless of who the manager is. They need some wholesale changes. I don’t think it’s so simple as to say ‘Oh we knew we were going to suck for one more year until the bad contracts run out’. Hopefully Aquillini gets off his wallet and buys a couple guys out and they can try and compete next year.

Departures of Tanev and Toffoli and Markstrom are not enough to turn this team upside down when their replacements were Schmidt and Holtby (with Demko stepping into Markstrom's role.

The team did overachieve last season, especially in the bubble. But this is a pretty long ways to fall from what we saw last year.

Coaches have a responsibility to take players off the ice if those players aren't executing the system. So far Green doesn't really do that with anyone of his top 8 players other than Miller a couple of times. So that means they are doing what him and Newell want them to do, or he doesn't have the balls to be a coach.

Either way, our coaching staff needs to be gutted.....keep Ian Clarke.

If the Beagle, Roussel, Eriksson, and Holtby, contracts cause Vancouver to lose any players they would otherwise keep this off-season, Benning should be shown the door. I love his scouting and drafting record, but ultimately he has added 3 key pieces only to surround them largely with slow(ish) and soft players who can't move the puck quickly.

Aquamen are motivated by assess in seats, and the bottomline is that this current edition of the Canucks is not one that many of the Vancity Fickle Faithful will pay top dollar to come see.

So THAT'S why you are 0-3 in GDTs... you're a goddamned Satanist!

I was wondering, what with the 1st containing a dragon, the 2nd a raging T-Rex, and the 3rd a plane crash.
