Am I the only hardcore Nuckie who has NEVER listened to ANY of these Canucks radiomen?
Well except Neil McRae but not on purpose (he's pretty funny eh Blob?).

Neil was ok back in the day. At least he had a bit of an edge and was accasionally funny. Sure he was bombastic and outrageous ( part of the shtick for sure) but he seems to be mailing it in these days.Strangelove wrote:Am I the only hardcore Nuckie who has NEVER listened to ANY of these Canucks radiomen?

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"
I met Neil a few years back. One of the dads on my kid's team treated us to a luxury box. Neil is (was?) as funny as hell IRL. I met him in the hallway and we were having a bit of a chat when the kids all came streaming by. My son: "Dad who is that?" Me: "Son, this is Neil McRae!". OOPS. Seventeen 11-year-olds started tearing into him for alleged anti-Canuck radio rants. Who knew. The bemused look on Neil's face was priceless. He was surprised and delighted with the notoriety he had seemingly acheived. He exchanged a few quips with the boys...Blob Mckenzie wrote:Neil was ok back in the day. Yeah, he seems kinda burnt-out these days. Years of party-hardying will do that... I hear.

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"
He's a heavy duty boozer and he also puffs a lot of weed. I met him at a golf tourney a few years ago - he was the emcee, very funny and very hamboned at the end of it .
A buddy of mine did his windows a few years back and Neil and huffed a few dubes with buddy and his helper and had a few drinks with them. He got a pretty good tip too.

I used to tune into Neil McRae and then Dan Russel in the early ninties post game around nine-ish pm when I was in high school. Both pessimists.

Hey would you mind these cyclists

"I have gone naked because it's the way to raise awareness of our rights for example the bicycle lanes that are never free, there are always taxis parked, police sleeping," protester Milagro Esquivel told the Reuters news agency.

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"
I found this somewhat disturbing, as it was brought to my attention by a leaves fan: Globe and Mail: Vancouver Fans Start To Panic
Then I was particularly disturbed to see the author (David Ebner, some recent transplant from Calgary) cites all of one blog post on THIS SITE as sourcing for his headline. The blog post, by the way, says there is a "mild form of 'controlled' panic" in Vancouver, but the main point is everyone just wants to get to the playoffs already.
So now I'm pissed off because a national newspaper is going out of its way to paint Vancouver fans in a bad light - that we're fickle, bandwagon-jumpers, etc. etc. And PS, nobody is panicking.

Re: Vancouver's Hockey "Media"
lol.
Panic is such a misrepresented term by these mongoloids who have nothing better to write about.
Tell you what folks.
We'll panic when the 9.2 earthquake hits the North end of the Cascadia subduction zone.
Otherwise it's just a fukin hockey team.
Thanks.
Canuck fans.
