He's handing #88 to the veteran Nate Schmidt. Very nice.
Jayce is getting a pretty juicy contract, $200,000 is a lot to play in Utica.

Jimmy seems to be betting on the AHL this year, Jayce slots into the Tyler "Vacuum Sealed" Graovac spot this year.
Jimmy likes to give those well paying AHL veteran jobs to good ol' prairie guys.

Jayce just barely managed to extend to get his stick on the puck to make the hit legal and to really expose himself.Micky wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 11:19 amGot his bell rung just under a year ago , but it's good to have some depth at center.Cherry Picker wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 11:07 am But what a season! 4.88 PPG
Throw him on the top line with Petey and Miller and see if he can get half of that?
Or, maybe not.
He got rocked!

So it’s a winning play? Ie. a great play?rats19 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 5:48 pmThe type of guts a winning teams needs a belly full ofDoyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 5:46 pmCan’t argue with thatrats19 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 5:41 pmDoes make it a gutsy play....Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 4:56 pmHe got blown up.... head up or down. Or just a solid play. But hey if you want to equate it to Brown to Bure or some of the Sedins best work, have at it.

My point was only the gutsiness of the play and that winning teams need these types of gutsy players . I am not equating it to anyone in particularDoyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 7:57 pmOr just a solid play. I like it a lot. His 11 games with Ottawa is sign of things to come IMO and his 22 points in 68 career games is pretty impressive when you consider he has averaged barely 10 minutes per game, which is less than Schaller averaged in 51 games here last year alone, and his 166 hits in those games would have him second on the Canucks behind Motte in average per game from last season. He averaged 3 hits per game with Ottawa and that was after Zadorov nailed him while he was still in Florida so he wasn't deterred.JelloPuddingPop wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 10:42 amApparently we've just signed this guy?Curmudgeon wrote: ↑Sat Oct 17, 2020 12:28 pm Looked up Jayce Hawryluk after hearing the interest in him. Might be worth a shot for bottom lineup energy and defensive support and reading the Dobber comment history, he seemed to be tracking fine before falling off. They need to move on from bottom lineup guys like Beagle, Roussel, and Sutter pretty quick and could use another Motte type while the team gets a read on some of their own picks as they develop. Good Western Canadian kid, I'd do it.
WHO???
Weird that he didn't pan out with Quenneville but he played center in junior and if he can transition back to the middle after playing wing in pro, he could be a legit Beagle replacement. He'll be very popular with the fans, I don't see him going to Utica and I don't think this will be his last contract with the Canucks.

I know what your point was Ratski. Dicky Dee was majorly impressed I guess. He probably still gets fired up to see a policeman on a horsey in a parade.

Interesting update on Tryamkin in the Province. Bill Peters may be an asshole but he's the best thing to happen to Tryamkin's career and he'll be way better prepared for a second run with the Canucks than if he was playing under a Russian coach over there this season. I still think he'll be a good addition.

No I’m impressed when a 4th liner (making peanuts) sees a monster in zadorov bearing down on him, and he still decides to play the puck eventhough he knows he’s gonna get crushed, guaranteed your fatass wouldn’t do that. That’s what makes it a great play.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 8:03 pmI know what your point was Ratski. Dicky Dee was majorly impressed I guess. Re: Canucks News N Notes 2020-2021
He’s been playing huge minutes and putting up some really nice stats. Him and podkolzin joining the team in March is gonna be great. He’ll be able to play opposite Quinn or schmidt and work the crease and the corners in support of those 2 agile guys. Nobody will want to go into his corner (especially not poor brad richardson after tyramkin just leaning on him broke his leg), and dumping into quinn or Schmidt’s side is a rush the other way.Curmudgeon wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 8:15 pm Interesting update on Tryamkin in the Province.
