Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond 2019/20
Yeah, OK, they’re not Canuck young guns anymore! So I’ll post it here instead.
Jonathan Dahlén is the leading scorer in Hockeyallsvenskan with 8 points in 3 games. 3 goals, 5 assists.
Joe Cannata is 3-0-0 for Björklöven with a 1.64 GAA and a .941 svs%. Looking good!
Björklöven is leading Hockeyallsvenskan with Timrå in second place.
Both teams have 8 points* after 3 games, but Björklöven has better goal differential.
*regulation win is 3 points, ot/shootout win is 2 points, ot/shootout loss is 1 point and loss in regulation is 0.

Yup Dahlen can be king of the swedish leagues with the finest swedish hotels or ahl depth rollin' on charter buses....it's no wonder why he'd prefer playing over there.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.
Re: Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond 2019/20
Jonathan Dahlén isn't a Canuck or a Canuck prospect.
"evolution"

Re: Meanwhile, on the other side of the pond 2019/20
Right, neither is Joe Cannata, even though they’ve both worn the orca.
Which is why I decided to revive this concept instead of posting about them in the young guns thread.
But they used to be, so I don’t find it inconceivable that some might be interested to hear where they ended up.
There is also Anton Rödin in Brynäs, Daniel Rahimi in Växjö and Nils Höglander in Rögle.
Those three players are in the SHL.
Sure, Höglander qualifies as a Canuck Young Gun, but I’ll probably just post all tidbits from the Swedish leagues here in one place. Feel free to ignore it.
Cheers!

Maybe he wants to nail hot little blond puck bunnies instead of the cheetos and jack in the box porkers in utica NY...
If you need air...call it in

Hey Per, that was just a one-year deal Dahlen signed with Timra right?
He'd come back next year if the Sharks invited him... dontcha think?
Cuz if he keeps scoring like that... damn!

It’s a one year contract, and I’m certain he still wants an NHL career.Strangelove wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2019 2:34 pm Hey Per, that was just a one-year deal Dahlen signed with Timra right?

The only question is whether he plans to head over after oneyear or if he’ll spend a year in the SHL in between.
I actually think the latter could be smarter.
Petey made the smart move to leave Timrå and play at the next level before heading to the NHL.
I think that makes the transition easier.

Another Canuck goalie, Joacim Eriksson, is playing for Brynäs in the SHL.
Dressed in all four games so far, played in three, 1 win, 1 loss. GAA 2.79 and SVS% .890, so.... not brilliant, I guess.
I never quite understand how they determine which goalie gets the win/loss in a game where the team has used two goalies. Is it the GWG?
I mean, Eriksson has played 172 minutes. He is listed for one win and one loss.
His backup, Samuel Ersson, has played 67 minutes and is listed for two losses.....
I guess poor Samuel got awarded the loss for a game in which he just played seven minutes.

Anton Rödin has three points in four games (1G 2A) for Brynäs.
Nils Höglander has two points so far, 1G 1A, which has him tied for third place among players under the age of 20 in the SHL this season.
He's averaging 14:12 minutes per game.
