Like Trump, sounds like your type of leader you'd like, no?

Roy is a fucking twerp. Great goalie hasn’t proven a thing as an executive. The Avs are so much better since Joe showed him the door.

I like Patty Roy, but he has a big personality. I doubt he would like to follow marching orders from the Aquas nor would the Aquas be interested in hiring him to be their front man.

2:12 mark Guy Carbonneau talks about Patty Roy wanting to join the NHL again.
https://www.sportsnet.ca/590/lead-off/g ... lds-debut/

paraphrasing a bit "Always been a winner, wants to be the best and did everything to be that, as a player asked a ton of questions, works at issues constantly to improve.

He's somebody that is soo competitive, you didn't want to disappoint him.

Later in his career winning was an obsession, that he said and done things that he might regret, but I haven't met anybody that didn't want to win hard that wasn't hard headed, at one point you might say or do something that people don't like, but you know that was the right thing to do."

Roy can't hear you with his 4 Cup rings in his ears.

It is fun to imagine the chaos that would Roy would bring. :D

I just don't see him fitting in here in ANY way.

It would set our next cup contention at 8 years from the day he is fired.

Linden was only a really good player for the Canucks from his first year (88/89) until (93/94). Pretty meh--after that. At one point, I though Geoff Courtnall would have made a good captain.

The only cup winning experience this organization currently has is parked on the 4th line.....which is where he was signed to play.

Having a guy like Roy behind the bench would mean Cup winning experience at the top of the food chain in the locker room.....might be what some of these guys need.

You eating peyote with SKYO?

Roy has proven sweet fuck all as a coach and even less in management.

The teams needs a real POHO. Patty Roy is not a proven commodity. And I sure as shit don’t think he’s a better coach than Travis.

Why?
Linden was the right choice at the time but Geoff was a great teammate who would always help other guys on the team. Had some big time skills himself but at the same time was a very unselfish sort.
