LOLSo I checked. In the last 2 years there have been about 500 posts with the word Smid in it. That includes a bunch today. I don't know what portion of those posts were negative or positive.
Today alone we've had 1,248 different people on the site.
So even if you assume all 500 posts about Ladisav Smid were negative and that there are only 1,248 different CP posters (that number is probably 20 times) then no - MOST of CP has not always said Smid was terrible.
Someone needs to tell Bountiful Patrick White and Daniel Rahimi got Vancouver Ehrhoff and Lukowich's salary when the Sharks needed cap spaceMaybe I should of worded it differently for you then. Anytime Smid was talked about on CP most people would say how terrible he was. Does this make you feel better?
Agreed. Bryzgalov is a career .913 and 2.55. Dubnyk is a career .911 and 2.84. Not much difference stats-wise.tantalum wrote: First the fact they are a cap team is hilarious. Second, freeing up cap space to sign a goaltender who adds another clown to the circus is even more hilarious.
Humongous big signing, just like universe.tantalum wrote:...Second, freeing up cap space to sign a goaltender who adds another clown to the circus is even more hilarious.
By adding a reasonable, slow, physical stay at home defender that would be a 5-6 guy on a contender but will play top four on the Flames.tantalum wrote:Bottom line is the Flames did get better.
Well the Flames aren't a contender - they are rebuilding. They got a decent D man for spare parts. Nothing sad about that. What is sad is that the Oiler, who really need D, have to get rid of one of their better D men to make room for a goalie that has seen better days in the NHL. It's a huge gamble on the Oilers part as they are at a point where they need to show some results of rebuilding. Briz might be ok, but what if he plays like he did in in Philly. Anyway, it really isn't a huge deal. The Flames just add some depth to thier D at minimal cost.Topper wrote:By adding a reasonable, slow, physical stay at home defender that would be a 5-6 guy on a contender but will play top four on the Flames.tantalum wrote:Bottom line is the Flames did get better.
Sad.
But they aren't really a "cap team". So how much are they paying Mr. Universe if they have to trade Smid in order to sign him? They should've had around $4 mil cap space before they traded Smid away.tantalum wrote:First the fact they are a cap team is hilarious.
