IF the deal reaches projections - and the $200 million/year comes from a report Bettman commissioned as potential gaming revenue, not the revenue from this deal to license logos and stats - that would be around $3 mil in cap space.
NHL does not get a share of gaming profits, they're only licensing their logos and stats. I would be very surprised if MGM thinks that would be worth $200 million a year.
But I guess that extra $3 mil in cap space would be enough to bridge the gap in the Nylander negotiations
Well....they aren’t really getting paid a licensing fee. The NHL can’t, for optics, take a cut of gambling revenue. But they can say, let’s project gambling revenue and our cut will be called a licensing fee. But they won’t say that. They’ll say they negotiated hard for a fair licensing fee. What went into those negotiations will remain confidential.
You reckon? Apparently other leagues are seeking a cut and calling it an
"integrity fee".
The NBA's similar deal is worth $25 mil
reportedly. That's more in line with what I'd imagine a deal like this to be worth.

Hmmm... another L without Auston Matthews. Where's the vaunted offense?
Loving the fish-free zone.

TSN has issued a cry for help “what’s wrong with Leaves!”
The injury riddled Canucks are tied with the Leaves

Tavares, Marner, Kadri, Kapanen can’t get it done
Young Pettersson, Horvat, Boeser, Virtanen are getting it done. Just wait til the QUINN Hughes show arrives

Anything to F with TSN is good in my books, at least TSN and their NHL coverage.

Sportsnet has an almost iron clad, long term contract.
Who's to say how things would have been if it had gone to TSN?
Their bids were almost identical.

The real problem with Toronto is Mike Babcock. Notice how they are so good on the road? Old Babs can't line-match. He's obsessed over it and it hurts the entire team. It leads him to playing 4th liners late in the 3rd when they are down a goal. He's brutal.
