He lost his spot on the team partly because Hamonic is back. The fact he makes 925k at the NHL level is the other reason. They needed cap room.
Kid only makes 70k in the minors. He'll blow the doors off the ahl and be back before Xmas.

He has promise but turns over pucks. It's not a terminal sentence or anything but he needs to clean up in his own end so he can play reliable 3rd pairing minutes down the road. He won't be deposing either Hughes or OEL any time soon so it's imperative he clean up those unforced turnovers fast
