As long as he is suspended with pay his cap should count. But if he is convicted I wonder what happens.

Nope.

Suspension stays.

However....

Kings to receive cap relief for salary and bonuses under the Bona Fide Long-Term Injury Exception .

Jesus.
The gold nugget in that article is this:

Jack Johnson fired his agent so this man could be involved in his finances. Dunce doesn't cover it.
I trust he used some of his son's money on shoe polish.

I don't understand. Are you saying he is still suspended but they get cap relief?

Never mind, got it. I really don't have a problem with them getting cap relief. It was fun to watch because they are a hated rival but if it was us I'd be screaming for cap relief. I guess he could flee back to Russia to avoid jail and keep playing. I'm sure Putin would find a freighter to let him stow away, or they could just issue him a new passport on the sly.

Now that the precedent has been set, when it's time, let's see if we can get Luongo on a felony DUI

I love the extra jab Lucic gives Prout after he's tied up by refs. Prout could have absolutely destroyed him after that initial KO punch.

Lucic ... what a POS (to quote our starting goalie)....

He goes after Prout, Prout reluctantly obliges and makes him look like Bambi on ice. Pout could have fed him his lunch and pumped his eyes shut but held back.

Lucic pays him back with a cheap shot once the refs are involved.

Have the Bruins played the Habs yet? Wasn't Lucic supposed to f**king kill Weise this season?

The Oilers are a disgrace

They at well on their way to drafting one of McDavid or Eichel, the league should not allow this, rewarding incompetence with such a prize like those two is plain wrong

In the last 5 drafts they have had 5 top 7 picks

3 first overalls
1 third overall
1 seventh overall

Before that they had

1 sixth overall
1 tenth overall
1 twenty second - Eberle

They are pretty much in their third rebuild in a row. If they get the first overall this year it will be 4 first overall picks in the last 6 drafts, a fucking joke. You might as well call the 2nd overall pick a first overall and if the Oilers don't get the first they are near certain to get the 2nd

What GM in their right mind starts an 18 year old as your second line centre behind that fucking lightweight fly - RNH? It's not rocket science to visualize that experiment going wrong. They are so obsessed with creating the next Gretzky, Kurri, Messier, Anderson forward group they've completely lost touch with how the game is played now.

The NHL needs to stop rewarding incompetent mgmt with high draft picks, blow the system up, if not, tanking will continue every year

Highlight of the year, seeing Lucic getting K.O.'d. I can play that over and over
