I guess that answers my question from a few weeks ago back when we played Dallas asking if Connauton was actually a NHL caliber defenceman.
Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Hopefully the Canucks take advantage of their Friday loss giving them a much higher waiver wire position to grab KC!!Hockey Widow wrote:Considering how desperate so many teams are for defensive help that speaks volumes that they couldn't trade him. I wonder if he gets claimed just because some teams are desperate.dbr wrote:Former future Calder winner Kevin Connauton on waivers today.
If the Canucks grab him, does he not become the 2nd-best defensive prospect in our system?

One of the worst defensive teams in the league places a bubble NHL blue liner on waivers? Methinks he'll be playing in the minors next game.

You might be right, we wouldn't want the confusion of two teams both using whales as their mascots.SKYO wrote:Hartford Whalers? fuck that.
Think of the rivalry that Pucky could have with Fin though...

Frattin had all that potential! then he got dealt to LA/Columbus.
leaves put Matt Frattin on waivers; Red Wings place Andrej Nestrasil on waivers as well
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I knew Jack Johnson was a dunce, but letting your mom manage your finances until age 27 (and until she's run them into the ground)?
Jesus.

Pretty sad really. First, they need to criminalize those pay it forward borrowing on future earnings. They are nothing but predatory schemes intended to steal money. Second, throw those muckers in jail. Third make em pay.
I understand why he doesn't want to charge his parents but he should bankrupt them fast. Get his brother out of there while he is at it.

As long as he is suspended with pay his cap should count. But if he is convicted I wonder what happens.

The gold nugget in that article is this:dbr wrote:I knew Jack Johnson was a dunce, but letting your mom manage your finances until age 27 (and until she's run them into the ground)?

Jack Johnson fired his agent so this man could be involved in his finances. Dunce doesn't cover it.
