Pettersson says he'll come over to the team in 2018/19 if the Canucks can land a true quarterback dman, otherwise he'll develop one more year.

lol was something lost in translation (or a tongue in cheek)?

He'll come over when we're ready for him, not the other way 'round.

ha yeah was jk, but it'd be nice for him to play one season with the Sedins though, IF they re-sign for $2M < per each for a year.
It seems like the twins wouldn't mind playing one more if they can play with another highly skilled young gun up front, it's my assumption.

This would be great if they can tie a rocket to Louis and Brandon and shoot them into the sun

And I agree with that all the way !
Now if he could just find us another great young defense man playing in a men's beer league, that would be good too.

Could this be the start of an actual superstar for our beloved canucks? It’s about time....
Now to find that elusive defenseman.......

People inclined to be optimistic about the brains behind the rebuild could point out that Benning has already drafted two defencemen who are playing well in major professional leagues in (as befits his purported drafting genius) the 3rd and 5th rounds of the draft.

Skeptics could point out that, unfortunately, neither of these defencemen are playing for the Canucks...

I guess that’s where the “patience grasshopper” part comes in... I’ve been patient since 1980, I guess a bit more patience won’t hurt.

Good to hear Olli Juolevi rose up to occasion and stepped up his game when it counted, too bad about the shootout, but that ain't his game to be a shootout sniper with the dangles. Juolevi won player of the game!
Darryl Keeping:
Olli Juolevi has been the best player on the ice after 40 minutes. He's been the solution to the Finnish PP creating with his vision, deception and passing ability, everything is being generated through him as he's now the pp qb on the first unit.
Craig Button: Juolevi is in control the game
Ryan Biech:
Juolevi having his strongest game of the tournament today - the Finn's have shifted to leaning on Juolevi/Jokiharju (rather than Valimaki/Heiskanen) and the Canucks prospect is making the most of it.
